Posting here in case you aren't following the Rush owners thread...

I still have a bunch of these inner loop fix plastics if anyone is interested. They have a protective film on them, but are clear. Installation is simple and should take less than 10 minutes. You remove 2 lock nuts, swing the original factory piece out of the way, put this piece in and then reassemble.

If you are interested, just send me a PM.

Not installed yet, but bumping for an awesome seller and mod J-drum11

Nice little piece, for those familiar with the RtB video/concert video, a great addition.

I understand I would question it myself but,you find out when you get involved doing this stuff.
Unfortunately, I’m not Amazon nor do I have a cheap assembly line, making these for me. these are individually made .
packing materials , and gathering the materials to make these take time and cost money.
Unfortunately,Putting the item together takes more time than I thought.
Pinside takes a percentage off the top. Stipe takes a percentage for handling the money and orders also.‍♂️
Still trying to find the materials at a lower cost. Unfortunately, when they are shipped to me, the quality is very bad.
Huge rush, fan of over 40 years seen them 26 times and had a conversation with Geddy Lee. it’s pretty cool to know that something I originally just made for myself is ending up in other peoples machines.

People’s time and effort are worth something, parts, ect....it’s not a needed mod, but to some it holds sentimental value as well. For me it does anyway.

Then there’s people who will line up, to spend $2K on a plastic topper, without question, lol.

There’s always toys to be bought or passed on, that’s what keeps the hobby fun. $165 toy added to $60K in machines, is a drop in the bucket

That's great, man. You do you. 26 times is freggin RAD. That's about how many times I've seen Tool, and if this was a Tool pin, I'd be doing all kinds of shit too most likely. Wasn't trying to bring you down, just stating my opinion on the price regardless of the situation. Seems like you're selling them, so that's bad ass for you and I sincerely wish you the best.

Hi. First time poster and first time pinball owner. Recently pickup up a Rush Premium and am confused about Mods. I've read through most of this thread and the ninjacamp thread and was wondering which Rush premium mods I should be picking up. I'm not that interested in cosmetic mods, mostly protection and game play ones. I know I need something to fix the inner loop. Stern is supposed to be sending some part for that, but if it doesn't work, I'll go with either the plastic lane cover or the ninjacamp plastic pieces. I also need something to fix the shooter rattle, and plan to get the ninjacamp fix.

Are there any other mods that are absolute musts? I'm seeing stuff like sling protectors, ramp guards, spinner exit adjuster, rollover switch protectors, scoop protectors (I have the newer stern ones that presumably are better than the first version) and an Exit Stage Left indicator (which might me nice as it is hard for me to see the lights in that inner loop lane).

Any advice is appreciated!

Dave

Cliffys..but he is running a few months behind.

http://www.passionforpinball.com/wip.htm

I think the spinner fix is important as well.

I don’t have a problem with my rollover switch registering, but if I did, I would install one of the MRS mentioned in this thread.

I also recommend reading through this thread since you have a premium. You don’t want problems if they can be avoided or at least minimize the risk. If you have questions, don’t be afraid to ask, that thread if full if very helpful people (actually most threads are)

You're first essential thing to do is take care of your Node 10 board from melting... fix the connections which are at risk if you haven't done this already.
https://pinside.com/pinball/forum/topic/rush-node-board-10-issues-and-non-issues-list
That's the first thing.
And then the only other requirement would be ninja camps three-piece set which will take care of the inner orbit and the shooter lane. Those are the only two essentials imo.
I got the exit stage left mod and it's cool but it's not essential

Here's a freebie for anyone who wants to make their own -- the Rush Multiball Tracker!

My test parts for this handy little tool have been sitting on my desk for literally six months, so I finally decided to finish it up today.

MBTracker2 (resized).jpg

Reference the original post / pitch here: https://pinside.com/pinball/forum/topic/the-official-rush-owners-club-1/page/168#post-7046893

Back in the early code, there was no way to keep track of what Multiball modes you'd played so far. You need to know, so that you can play all six, working toward Cygnus X-1 Book 1. Eventually, after lots of pleading from owners, the programmers finally added a screen in the Instant Info to tell you which multiball modes you'd played.

With that update, there wasn't much need/desire for my fun little tool, so I never bothered to finish it or put it in my shop.

Personally, I like the idea of not having to pause the game to access the info! So I finished the Multiball Tracker this evening and tried it out -- I really like it!
Start a multiball, close the window, and see at a quick glance which modes still remain.

MBTracker1 (resized).jpg

I've posted this on Thingiverse as a freebie (not for resale). Print and assemble your own!
1) 3D print the housing and six tabs in the color(s) of your choice
2) Print the icon strip on regular paper -- image should be sized to 4.062" in length
3) Glue/adhere the icon strip to a piece of magnet sheet -- the type with an adhesive upper surface will work best!
4) Glue the housing to the magnet/icon sheet combo, using super glue along the edges and the 'beams' between the windows
5) Insert the tabs oriented so the raised piece can be 'dragged' open or closed!

Topper from Gameroommods will be revealed and orderable in the next week... In the final states of prototyping and a first small production run... Considering a limited run but final decisions are currently being made. We are teasing by not showing photos aren't we? We will post updates on the timeline to this post before it goes live. It won't post to the owners club until it's orderable.

What a essential convenience it is to have an accessible volume control outside the cabinet.
I installed this one in the " tournament plug" location and it's a simple solution that looks stock.

I'm a huge fan of Rush, and HUGE HUGE subdivisions fan. I won't say it's my favorite song, because.. how could you choose a favorite, but it's certainly my most listened to song. I've made a tempest video game for rush it's available at

https://pinside.com/pinball/market/shops/1463-arcade-cabinetscom/07775-rush-pinball-subdivisions-tempest-video-game-mod

i don't have a rush (yet) it arrives soon, but when it does I want to make the scene from subdivisions with
pacman, tempest, and the taito game that I don't actually know. with the sign in the back and maybe the kid that they feature in the video, repeatidly playing tempest with his back to us. I've already got a mini tempest and pacman, need to find what that taito game "alpine... " is and then make the rest.

Edit: apparently the game is "Taito's Alpine Ski" circa 1981

#1339 14 days ago

I know countdown is not a song in the game (but then again either is roll the bones) but besides tempest I really think the Rush game needs to give a nod to "countdown" (the last song on Signals of course)

I just got a bunch of these and I am still figuring out the mount options. I think the back left will be good and I'll make a custom mount as well as I'd like to have it in "launch" position straight up once I have a chance to figure out where I can put them.

thanks! I've made a flat mount to mount it to screw in existing screws/posts. The back corner works, just barely fits I might have to redo my mount to remove the height 1mm which should be perfect. THere's a few other places I see it probably would fit with a similar mount, right side I think and right by the shooter lane/right ball return lane. I have to try those out in the next few days. Finally the big topper reveal. I'd love to get some constructive suggestions and feedback. The area I keep coming back to is the "Young Ed" styling and materials (or skip it entirely) and the tagline. The lighting is RGBWW and you can independently and simultaneously mix the white with the RGB color effects. The initial introductory price will be $199.94 plus shipping. We will likely replace the photos after we get the topper installed on an actual Rush game.

The product order page will go live in the morning since the things I'm willing to change are easy to change on the fly... I suppose I need to get some photos of the topper installed on an actual Stern Rush game...

very cool. here's my 2 cents in terms of improvements

* The young ed seems hard to see, not sure what can be done about that maybe it's the photo?
* personally not a big fan of the "roll the balls" tagline,
* love the roll the bones theme and art
* did you think of maybe using real dice on the background or somewhere (maybe not all of the squares) to give it a more 3D feel? that might be cool to give it a bit more physical depth

either way very nice.

just added a "ramp mount" for the shuttle not completely done tweeking the mount but it seems to work pretty well. I need to dial in the dimensions just a bit
on the back wheel holder to make it perfect I think. also I have a shooter lane mount which looks cool, not sure whether I like the shooter lane or the ramp best personally.

I looked at a lot of them. The first one was "Stern Pinball" but I felt that Stern may have a problem with that... I may revisit this. Very open to suggestions though. In the end I decided on the "Roll The Balls!" tagline since it was closest to the album name without being exactly the same.

I did buy the dice to play with but never built one. It was going to be dramatically more expensive from both the materials and labor standpoint and in the end it really didn't look the album cover. I could make the corners of the dice a little rounder but I matched a real dice. Also here is an earlier prototype that was similar to the real dice.

oh the black "Ed" looks much nicer in my opinion. he stands out much more.

Roll the balls is nice I guess, I"m just wierd. I definitely like that other version where ed stands out more. pretty sweet!

Man I love this game (though honestly I"m not sure it's the game as much as I just love listening to rush, when I get a drain I'm not really upset the ball ends but more that whatever song I'm listening too is over (or the modes song ends ; hah)

anyway I've been modding out my Rush heavily, not as much as I've modded out my Iron Maiden... yet...

but here's my newest mod, a little hinge magnetic art that just slaps rigth over the hinge bolt with no fuss. use the bolt to actually center itself!

Quoted from brzezicki:

I know countdown is not a song in the game (but then again either is roll the bones) but besides tempest I really think the Rush game needs to give a nod to "countdown" (the last song on Signals of course)
I just got a bunch of these and I am still figuring out the mount options. I think the back left will be good and I'll make a custom mount as well as I'd like to have it in "launch" position straight up once I have a chance to figure out where I can put them.

Honest feedback - The space shuttle doesn't mesh with the machine. Then again, I'm not one to put a bunch of toys on my machines either.
