Holy crap, that etsy guy's prices are crazy. $250 for a "handmade" official Stern art game banner?
I'd ask around. You should be able to get the real deal at any decent-size distributor for a lot less.

Your game looks great, but I don't understand how you can spend hundreds on mods for your game but leave those ugly zinc fender washers Stern uses on the slingshot plastics installed. Do yourself a favor and invest a few dollars in a set of slingshot protectors, or at least some PETG clear fender washers. Big improvement for a small investment IMHO.
I just LOL’d. Very true.

Hundreds? Not really. $22 for the car, $15 for the guitar, $35 for Presto, $50 for Signals dog.
I see what you mean though - where do you buy these washers?

Colored PETG protectors from cfengravingservices.com, he also makes the clear PETG washers and clear protectors that are sold on Pinball Life, etc.

If you are under 6'6 or just don't like standing on your tip-toes to see if the inner loop shot is lit for a combo, record, or mode shot -- Outpost Kodelia and Ninja Camp have a new mod coming soon!
Here is a quick shot of the prototype, we're updating it in real time over at the NinjaCamp mods thread (https://pinside.com/pinball/forum/topic/ninjacamp-mods/page/4#post-6889765)

Great idea. I'm probably in for one!
I am absolutely blown away by the number of mods for Rush. The passion is real and I can see how Gary Stern was convinced to make this machine.

Are those additional protectors really needed there or are they more of an aesthetic?
Quoted from kmad:Are those additional protectors really needed there or are they more of an aesthetic?
They or PETG washers are mandatory if you want to remove the stock metal washers to clean up the look of the sling plastics. So technically yes, they just improve the aesthetics of the game.
One could argue they more thoroughly protect the plastic since they protect the entire perimeter of the stock plastic but I don’t think it is common to break a sling plastic in the middle. They typically break on the corners where the metal washers are installed.

Buy the nice fluorescent ones, they look great. If you break a plastic, it will cost as much for 1 piece fron stern than the set of protectors will.

what color did you go with? I originally bought Goldish color protectors, but they don't have that florescent 'glow' that I like....I see 'gameroom mods' offers Orange, yellow, Green, or red.... I cant decide what looks best!
Quoted from John-Floyd:yeah i have those same ones - they are nice and the price was right, but I miss my glow!
Yup, if I change, I'm gonna go orange

i went Orange think it looks the best ordered from MezelMods they give you the option to get the Screws
Here is our listing for the fluorescent protectors. The kit includes some flat nylon nuts to secure them. We have pictures of yellow and orange in the listing. I haven’t tanked any red/pink or green pictures yet. I personally have the orange installed and they are great.

What would it take (and the added cost) to do a protector for the plastic up by the pops as well like this set at Marco? Not trying to undercut you, just that additional protector is one thing I like about that set. For yours I like the color selection options and that you're including the extra hardware!

Probably not a big deal to add it. I’ll look into it. Thanks for the suggestion.

PM me and we can work out shipping to our friends north of the border.
Quoted from kmad:Are those additional protectors really needed there or are they more of an aesthetic?
I bought a set of slingshot protectors from Gameroom Mods. About a week later I had the playfield up and found a small piece of the protector in the bottom of the cabinet. I checked the protectors and indeed the right protector had a piece missing from the top of the slingshot (probably a fluke). I contacted Gameroom Mods and they sent me a replacement set (both left and right) at no cost to me. And I'd MUCH rather have a broken protector than slingshot plastic. So, I'd highly recommend installing slingshot protectors. I personally like the clear so the artwork displays as the artist intended, but several of my games came to me with the colored lit edge type protectors and I like them as well. I say whatever works for you as far as color but do yourself a favor and install some type of slingshot protectors - even if it's just replacing those ugly zinc washers with PETG clear washers.

For our Canadian Friends. A customer in Ontario just purchased 2 sets of Fluorescent protectors. Shipping was $17 from our warehouse in the Atlanta area. The reason we require a PM is the Pinside shop mechanism doesn't really calculate shipping until an order is already processed so we either have to do the PM route to calculate actual shipping in advance of an order OR charge a high enough shipping charge to cover whatever it is. We are firm believers of charging actual shipping rather. Hopefully the Pinside shop will improve in the future.

I added the set of fluorescent protectors to my cart, and about paid, then I saw your comment here. If you add the 5th piece to the set, please update the thread, as I'll buy it. I'd hate to buy the 4 piece, and then come bother you again for the 5th Beatle....I mean protector, lol.

I second that. I would be interested in that piece and set as well

This is the main reason I don't offer international ordering through my pinside store and just offer it on pinmonk.com. I use country specific shipping tables so the price is as close to actual shipping costs as possible, and that's just not feasable on pinside. So I just do domestic on my pinside store and both domestic and international on pinmonk.com. That split works well.
