Does it light up??
Quoted from upsfeedr:Does it light up??
Yes the early prototype is video here, the new version is just a cleaner design with the RUSH logo
Making excellent progress on the Rocket City Pinball Red Barchetta mod -- finalized the different versions (and available signs) for the road scenes for the back left corner.
One-lane bridge version still in work, as is the lit-headlights variation for the road scenes or the bridge.

20220402_000308 (resized).jpgI think a lot of the mods are really cool. But are there any mods out there that do something? Or is having a mod do some type of action altering the game too much? Again no disresepct..., I love the mods. I have two myself. Just curious. Thx

Well, that is typically the kind of mods we make, those that are illuminated and, where possible, interactive, and that also blend into the theme (disco ball, wonkavator, Thor hammer, IM plane, etc). We have a few planned, but without a game, I’m not willing to release or show anything. Also, playing the game helps me better understand what might or might not work. Stern has been very slow to release games. We typically buy pros because they need the most modding work and stern sells more of them. For rush, stern produced less pros than normal in the first batch. I’m told to expect a game this month and then it will be a few weeks before I can show and start to offer mods.

Excited to see what you will have.
I'm leaving some spots open for future mods.
Question….
I have more Neil peart drum kits coming.
Which would you Prefer?
Time machine
Red double bass starman on front
R30
The NHL promo kit
Quoted from onemilemore:I saw some illuminated dice and gears for the mystery scoop in another thread. Anyone know if that's being sold?

Yep. I’m really digging these mystery dice. Where’d they come from??

Time Machine.
The good...LE finally arrived this past wednesday! though just barely got a chance to unpack it last night and havent even put it into place. Still sitting on the lift cart.
the bad (maybe?)...the pop bumper area is VERY tight. the drums i was designing as pop toppers dont look like they'll fit the way i wanted. I'll make something for it later but for now I'll take my drum and bump up the size to have something similar for Pro owners like the drum clock on the Prem/LE. Of course not tied into the game, since the code wont support it. More details to come...
Quoted from mIkea:Finally got around to covering those crappy scoop lights. Just a mock-up but I think I may make a permanent version.

Nice touch using real casino craps dice. Did you just drill them out and slide them over the light?
Quoted from usafstars:Nice touch using real casino craps dice. Did you just drill them out and slide them over the light?
I just used no-dome LEDs and glued them to one side for now. I’ll eventually get some more dice and see if drilling them out looks better. Don’t want to drill these ones- souvenirs from a trip to Vegas with my now wife before we got married, about 25 yrs ago. It’s hard to capture with a camera but they light up really well as-is.

Green craps dice to keep the factory motif?
Quoted from PinMonk:Green craps dice to keep the factory motif?
Definitely going to try that.
Yeah, the thing about the green LEDs is that they relate to ball locks. My simple mind likes always knowing to shoot for green inserts or lights to advance toward multiball on any Stern. The red dice would be confusing to me.

These were for sale at TPF through a local vendor, Lord of the Gameroom. I believe, but cannot confirm, they are working on an online purchase option. I purchased one and some flasher covers, but haven’t yet installed. I will post pictures when it’s done.
This is my Red Barchetta. There are many like it, but this one is mine. No lights, because it’s daylight. But it needs a lil Geddy Lee driving it, and some gravel kicked up behind it. I’ll work on that.

Untitled (resized).jpgQuoted from hawknole:Stage topper looks good. Here is my version, lights respond to music/sounds, all studio album symbols around base. Sorry, not for sale & not a well lit pic, added one while under construction. There are now 3 bands of led lighting under the drums.

I ordered these also
Yes, 7/16" drill, don't go too deep, just to edge of green band around the bulb, otherwise itvwill rub a tiny bit on the playfield plastic. I had to fill first one in about an 1/8" with glue to get correct spacing. Super glued over night, played 8 or so games, looks great
I'd like to see a mod that replaces the plastic over the scoops with an older theme - a character from album covers, something from their earlier music.
Farewell to Kings? Signals? Caress of Steel? 2112? Hemispheres?
Too much with dice and gears already on the game. But not super busy mod either.
Quoted from Sleal16:Ooo, those are nice guitars. They the Hongzer mini replicas?
Yep except he’s charging $160 for them!

How 'bout the girl on Permanent Waves?
pasted_image (resized).pngQuoted from J85M:Yep except he’s charging $160 for them!
Thanks to both of you for supporting fellow modders! I’m sure the both of you can get things a lot cheaper and sell them yourself and try to compete with Amazon after packing and transaction fees.
I will make sure to keep an eye on both of what you guys have to sell next.
So I can support you the same way

This would be an instabuy for me - Permanent Waves needs more representation on this pin.
Adding some final touches to the drum clock design for Pro games. Mostly need to find a proper fitting clock mechanism to make it a working device. Clock or making the areas behind the face symbols clear to add a light to tie into the GI somewhere. Not sure If both will fit in properly
Screen Shot 2022-04-05 at 3.25.15 PM (resized).pngInstalled my NinjaCamp TPU scoop protectors tonight. Very good instruction link provided. Also, the protectors fit and sit in the scoop holes very nicely. Kudos again.
Edit: I have 3M auto bra vinyl installed in my front scoop since day one as you can see from the wax lines that I had yet to wipe off. I left the vinyl installed as well, call me OCD or whatever
