About six weeks ago, I ran into a guy some of you may have heard of, a guy by the name of Rupert Boneham. He appeared on several seasons of the television show Survivor and is a favorite to many fans of the show. He was at the Skyline Drive In in Shelbyville, IN, signing books and noted that he liked the arcade (SkyCade) we had set up there and he was interested in opening an arcade of his own. He had a building, he had folks who needed jobs...he just needed help with games.
The goal was simple - open the arcade, and all profit would go to his charity, Rupert's Kids. Long story short, we have created the arcade and it is opening this upcoming Saturday, February 4, at 1pm EST. It's located at 48 Public Square in Shelbyville, which is about a half hour south of Indianapolis, an hour north of Cincinnati, and just minutes of exit 113 on I74. We currently have six pins: Batman Forever, Rescue 911, WWF Royal Rumble, KISS (1978 Bally), The Simpsons, and Jurassic Park. We also have tons of great arcade games, including the nicest Out Run 2 twin I've ever played.
I would love to see some Pinsiders make their way out and help the cause!
