I have a Gottlieb Close Encounters machine. The scoring isn’t working correctly and has a mind of its own. It just randomly runs away so to speak. I don’t think it’s a result of a switch sticking. I’ve attached a few pictures of the inside of the head. Any suggestions as to what the issue may be? I don’t Also, I am not a pinball techie so any help is much appreciated!

Thanks for the suggestion. It seems to be getting worse. The CPU is original. Do you think swapping it out with a new NI-Wumpf board would do the trick? It should probably be done anyway.

I will do just that tomorrow. I’m learning something new everyday. Thanks for sharing your knowledge.
