What Stern DMD screens can be used for this?

    #1117 4 years ago
    Quoted from j_m_:

the red, green (avengers - hulk edition) or blue (avatar) LED displays can be used with either the run-dmd, run-dmd edge or run-dmd pinball pc boards. I made and sold kits a while ago, but the demand just wasn't there so I stopped offering them
later this month (if I don't forget), I will post the complete bill of materials and the laser cut .dxf file for the acrylic (it will need to be all cut from a sheet of the darker grey tint). I just need to remember if everything will fit
(grrr.... ponoko.com rebuilt their website and now not only doesn't my account not exist any more, but it won't let me create a new one using chrome, firefox or edge

So can't use screens out of LOTR, MET, TWD, or Spidey?

BIG shout out and thank you to roar for taking time out of his days to put together this gorgeous RunDMD frame.

You sir, are a true gentleman and stud! I greatly appreciate your time and generosity, and feel like I've earned myself another great friend in this community!

Turned on my RunDMD today, and I'm getting this:

    Any suggestions?

    #1151 4 years ago
    Quoted from Thor-NL:

Looks like a corrupt SD, tried to replace it with a different one?

    Not yet, but I will.

    Thanks!

    #1153 4 years ago

Just re-wrote image to SD and it seems to be working fine again!

Anyone know where I can find the B134 file and reflashing/installation instructions?

    Thanks!

Seem to be constantly having an issue where after a short period of time the images just become scrambled and I have to reflash the card. Anyone know what might be causing this?

    #1244 3 years ago

Can anyone recommend a SD card that has been working for them?

    #1246 3 years ago
    Quoted from stoptap:

Do you leave it powered on all the time or switch it off at the mains ? If you turn it off do you power it down properly ?

Have it set on the timer mode, so it wakes in the morning and sleeps at night.

I also built a clock for a friend, and he had the same issue. Mine seems to be more frequent though.

    #1249 3 years ago
    Quoted from pinballinreno:

How does it run when not in timer mode?
I just leave mine in 24/7
    Using the original sandisk card

I might have to try that. What SanDisk card are you using?

So I replaced the new, larger, faster SD card that I was using, with an older 512MB card, and so far I've had no issue.

Maybe just a basic card without all the flashy improvements is the way to go!

    #1299 3 years ago
    Quoted from j_m_:

which brand of SD card did you end up using? (so that others know)

Kingston. See if I can get a pic later.
