I just wanted to give a quick shout-out to J.M. (see Aurich's post above) to say thanks for taking the time to put kits and clocks together for folks! Plus, you couldn't ask for a better person to deal with before or after the sale. My wife ordered one from him for me for Christmas, and if anyone is on the fence you should should jump on it before he stops making them. Sourcing the parts is a pain, and they can be finicky to get working with all the different LED panels floating around. Thanks so much, these clocks are an awesome gameroom addition.

I don't know, but I got a clock from j_m_ last Christmas and I just updated it successfully so thinking the boards are ok. Per a post above, I had to hold down the third button (from the left) when I plugged it in which is next to the power button, not the power button. At first my screen came up as just a line, then somehow it was upside down, so I also thought for sure I'd broken it But after it cycled modes I hit the fourth button to "select" it and all is well again. Maybe try reformatting the card and downloading a fresh file?

Sounds great, I hope future plans will allow folks to add/delete game animations as well?
