Just updated the SD card to the new image. I can see the clock and images but the display is very bright like a reverse image. I burned the image multiple times using two computers and getting the same result. I'm using the original SD card. Also when I turn off the clock (with remote) it comes back on.

I read the post above about holding button three till it selects the right display type but that is not working either.

I am using the buttons on the expansion board.

Which buttons are 3 and 4. I've tried a number of combinations but not working. I think I may be using the wrong buttons.

I'm having the same issues as mamemaster. Have not been able to update since 2 or 3 versions ago. Can someone burn a new update with HUB08 displays set as the default?

    #767 7 years ago

Still can't update to the latest version. Last update that is working is 3.06. I have tried every update since and all I get is random lines. I've plugged in the power holding the 3rd button and nothing but lines. I've tried plugging it in with each button pressed and same results. I've burned the image to multiple 2gb sd cards using multiple computers. Was able to update prior my current version a couple of times with no issues over six months ago. I have the expansion board and tried with those buttons also.

I believe my board must be defective.

    Quoted from j_m_:

what version of the firmware is on your run-dmd board? I believe that if you have a clock from one of the initial runs, you will need to update the firmware in order to use a newer SD card image
I have extra pic chips that I can flash with the latest firmware (v3.51) and sell for $10 plus shipping. pm me if you're interested.
you'll need to disassemble the clock, remove and replace the pic chip and then you can use an SD card with the most current image file

Not sure what version I have but it's about year old. I have never heard that the firmware had to be updated to run the current version of the animations. Is there a way to check the firmware version?

I haven't updated the animations in a while but would like to. Otherwise my clock has be running for years. Set it to come on at 5pm and off 1am.

My question is what is the newest set of animations and how many are there? And where to get it.

    Thanks Martin

So is B237 the latest image file. Same as B137?
