    Quoted from pocketscience:

That’s what I figured. Thanks. Still not working though. I confirmed that 5V was getting to the display but still nothing displayed. Known good display. Very odd.

If you haven't done it already, check polarity on the wires. Positive on mine was on the black wire. I complained a little bit to the people that sold me the wiring harness, but the instructions that I received specifically stated that the color of the wires was not necessarily black on negative and red on positive. For mine, black was positive and red was negative.

    Quoted from longwetsocks:

For those that have their DMDs mounted on the wall, do you leave it running 24/7? Do you use the sleep timer? Do you unplug it when not in use? Just trying to figure out the best way to run it. Also ddebuss, I may be interested in one of those 1M power extensions for an Edge.

Mine runs 24/7.. Built it a few years ago...

The Run DMD clock has a test sequence that you can run to check every dot on the DMD.
Perhaps that test will reveal if the board has a problem or the DMD has some bad dots.

I suspect a bad/intermittent ribbon cable connection on one pin.
Just a guess on my part, based on the test and such.
