when you press-fit the low profile socket onto the existing ribbon cable, did you install it as was shown in my v2 assembly instructions? (eg. reverse orientation from the other connector?) when I did it that way, it made it the perfect height on the 3 clocks that I built (for myself and 2 others) using the new frame design

yup, used the vice to to make it as short as possible. There wasnt a ton of interference. I could have screwed it all together as is but I saw a little bit of flex and decided to pop off the strain relief to alleviate it.

Low profile connectors showed up over the weekend. Unfortunately it'll be atleastaweek before I get them together. Headed to Detroit area over the weekend. Anything game room related going on? Party's, tournaments, etc?
