Quoted from rugged96:Somehow the idiots I hired to move it managed to destroy the entire thing. We are trying to work with insurance but don't have a lot of hope.
Were they just friends of yours, or an actual, insured moving company?

Atlas Vanlines paid me $4600 for breaking my 4ft tall, 30 year old lava lamp
Lava_Colossus (resized).JPGQuoted from woody76:Dude, that is awesome. Where can I get one of these?
They stopped making them because they were filled with Perchloroethylene and were hazardous to ship
They were handmade in Chicago using German glass and were called "The Humongo"
They tried to make them with salt water instead of chemicals, but it was a huge failure (see what I did there?)
Quoted from rugged96:Who /what is HEP?
When you give the insurance company the estimate to repair the game, you want it to be from Chris at High End Pins
He does great work, and would be well worth their money

There are some great legal minds on this forum!
I've got the owner's name, address and registration from the truck's temporary plate already.
Sadly, it looks like you've only got $180 coming from their agreed upon **insurance**
The term we were looking for was "Full Value Insurance"
Sucks!
Quoted from Zablon:No one has said whether anyone gave Rudy CPR!!!
I know, even Glen got an Amber Alert when he went missing in Texas monday night...
(this is a 100% real Amber Alert that was sent out)
Quoted from cottonm4:It fell off the truck. And the mover bozos said "Oh Shit! Oh Shit! and in a panic just threw it back on the truck. They were probably so scared they were not paying attention to how they loaded it back up.
Of course.
"Spillage of Load" or "Failure to Secure Load" are expensive tickets (and you get points on your license too)
