They were paid to do a job and botched it, its all on them regardless of how their day started.

So? If I was came into work with a shit attitude and customers (residents) suffered for it I'd be fired on the spot.
I have zero sympathy for the movers here particularly since they are shirking their responsibility to make it right.

Like I said, moving company pocketed most of the cash and flipped a few bucks to another guy for off book action.
Seen it all the time with roofers, painters, etc.
