Shooter gauge for a 1954 Williams Spitfire....a rusted out eBay purchase nickel plated by Chris at pinballplating.com.

I tried a decal but it looked terrible on the shiny surface.

Drano had good results with dry rub down transfers. I scanned and traced the decal in Inkscape and modified based on my original shooter. I chose Pantone 186C and had https://www.allout-graphics.com create the transfer for me. Had six printed think it looks great! Rub like hell until the colour on the transfer goes opaque.

I don't have a great picture of the original condition but this gives the idea:

My shooter is in better shape but broken into two pieces.

And no, none of this makes financial sense!

There’s a minimum size and I could cram a few on the page. Figured I might mess a couple up and also wanted a few for any future projects.

These are ideal for white text that is otherwise hard to decal. That’s what Drano used his for.
