Does it bother anyone else that the RR LCD is still using a green motif? I cant imagine why they left it green instead of making it red to match the rest of the game.

For me it comes across as lazy and looks tacky.

Quoted from dendoc:

Apparently Red will be used on the new code update for RR editions.

That sounds really promising. Do you have any documentation from a JJ coder or Jack himself? I would love to read it and make sure its not referring to the small red banner on the bottom

Quoted from indybru:

I'm fine with the green it seems to fit the theme.

It's cool that you feel its "fine" and "fits the theme" but for me and the others in this thread it "bothers us" and "doesn't fit the theme" very well.
I'm sure you will be able to load the old code back so you can get that "theme fitting" green color back.

Quoted from bobukcat:

They didn't change the background in the high-score / game over screens but they did change the background and text at the bottom of the in-game screen. I think it looks great. IMG_20151016_104812400.jpg

Well, that looks like a step in the right direction, lets hope they can keep the ball rolling and get rid of the rest of the ECLE green motif which is still hanging around. I feel like the green background and animations on the RRLE LCD should be changed to a ruby red color instead of what has just been shown. It's not as if this is an entirely different game, we are simply asking for them to make the LCD they programed for their green motif'd ECLE the same as their RRLE but with a red motif.

.

The reason I'm so passionate about this because the green motif'd LCD stuck out like a sore thumb the first time I saw a Ruby Red Limited Edition. I figured it was just a pre-production fumble but as time went on and The Hobbit production line was gearing up I felt like this may be the only chance I have to bring this to peoples attention before we have to put up with this for an extended period of time.

My intentions for this may come across as a bit too dramatic but you know how it goes when you type your honest feelings down in a thread. This is just something I wanted to throw out there before RR WOZ is finalized.

Best Wishes
Dan
