I have a 1976 Gottleib Royal Flush game and the matching function is not working. The matching unit functions manually, all the contacts and the cams move easily, but the unit doesn’t move when ten points are generated. Also the matching numbers do not light up at the end of the game. I replaced all bulbs but still no lights.
Any ideas
Thanks
Rob

Quoted from Anindyfan:

The 00-90 (F) relay should move when the Pop Bumper (B) relay activates.

I found a wire that was not making contact and now the match unit moves when the bumper is hit. But I still don’t have any match numbers lighting up when the game is over.
Thanks

I misspoke on the last reply. The F relay, had been disconnected. I connected the wires and cleaned it and now it is working. The 0-9 unit doesn’t move.
Sorry for the confusion.

Check this switch on the Pop Bumper (B) relay for proper operation.

For a switch to work 3 things are necessary:
1) When open, there should be a small space between the contact points (duh!)
2) When closing, the long blade's contact point should push the short blade's contact point enough to move the short blade
3) The contact points should be clean, which they usually will be if #2 is happening

I believe the F relay (pics below)
Contains the match unit. If so it moves when. Bumper is hit but still no match lights?
Thanks

I am now getting match numbers lit at game over. Will keep playing to see if I get a credit when one matches.
Fingers crossed.
