Quoted from Y3AG3R:I am having this issue on Stern SAM System, does anyone know what could cause that? Avengers LE
Stern SAM is a different design but the same DS1232 is being used with the tolerance set at 5% per schematic from a spiderman manual I am looking at.
I wouldn't cut anything off the dallas reset chip yet. Check that the mounting screws are connected well on the voltage regulator on the big heat sink. Some games they used a 2nd black heat sink on top of the first one that does not conduct well from the case of the voltage regulator through the screw to the PCB. When the screw loosens up slightly it can go open circuit when the game vibrates. What is the 5v DC reading at with a DMM?
