    For future reference :

I had to replace all ICs on my DIS089 (too high input voltage, don't ask).
Following the silk screen print of IC names on the PCB didn't work.
    The schematic is correct though.

This is the list of PCB errors :

    U27 says 74244, should be 74240
    U26 says 74244, should be 74240
    U23 says 74273, should be 74374

This is for a board manufactured in April 19 with REC FG0606-00 printed on it.

Just in case somebody runs into the same issues I had ...

Ok, the variants didn't work on my board which is why I followed the schematic.
The displays were all wrong, parts lighting up that shouldnt.

I had to use the ones from the schematic, then it worked great.
So I guess there are some minor differences.

That's some great research DumbAss !

Now onto the WDB089 that blew up also ... I hope it's the same "easy" fix for that.
