the first show I saw in NYC after moving here in 1998 was a December ‘98 show at a club on bleecker called Life (now Poussin Rouge). It was Ronnie Spector’s Christmas special featuring some amazing announced guests (including Joey Ramone ) and one amazing unannounced guest (guess who!). The show didn’t start till after midnight. It was a totally bonkers show from start to finish and really emphasized to me that cool stuff happens in my new home if you just leave your apartment sometimes! There’s a million great Ronnettes songs (besides baby I love you and be my baby), check a few out today!
