I finally got my new-to-me Space Invaders (my first early SS game) running and enjoying playing it. However I'm already finding it difficult to keep track of my scores because I rollover 1 Million way too easily. Like nearly every game. Back in the day, how did people chase scores if they had no idea how many millions were attached to them? It's kinda frustrating and ruins my motivation.

There's 3 options that's I'm aware of. You can use a modified divide by 10 score game ROM, mod the game to install 7-digit displays (along with a 7-digit game ROM), or installing a set of xpin 7voultion displays.

kick the back legs all the way up and wax that bad boy.

Set it up on the conservative settings and speed it up to get it more like it should be. Bally’s are brutal For most people when set up correctly. Good luck.

Set it up for a hair tilt. Nothing makes you a better player than this.

Tends to drop your scores though.

Si is one of the easier Ballys of that era though.

Make the challenge to “9” the game, bring 999,990.....a perfect game

Unfortunately the best you can do normally is 999,950. If you are next level, you can shoot the area above the arch at 999,950 and tilt the ball after it hits one of the 50 point dead-pops (as it's scoring) right between the 4th scoring pulse but before the 5th scoring pulse to stop it at 999,990. Seriously. Your score can really only end in a 00 or 50 on that game. Sucks for the match at the end.

Set all settings to conservative. Don't make it too easy.

Does your game have the larger plastic posts at the horseshoe entrance at center of pf? I know some game miniposts which makes the game easier to dominate.
