Picked up some awesome new cointaker 2 LED non frosteds (same as ST PRO) this weeked at Expo. Took about 2 hour to install. Added super bands and 4 coats of Novus.

The back-board came out yellow (used frosted there) but the playfield looks amazing now. Very happy with it.

Get some ablaze 4leds from pbl for the backglass, that's what I used and it turned out great!

Won't that create crazy glare on the playfield glass?

great game, looks nice.

Yeah...not sure what to do...

It looked bad with the stock lights.

It looks just as bad with the frosted LED's.

Hrm.

Very nice looking!

So, 4 coats of novus, eh? Did you put some wax on afterwards at least?

#11 6 years ago

I was wondering wth he meant by coats of
Novus too? Hahaha

Love Rararararollllergames

I put a purple LED under the "butt" in the backbox. It really pops now. I will have to get some pics.

#13 6 years ago

4 coats of Novus???.... At least you got it clean.......You actually might want to consider at least 1 coat of wax.

Same here.

Why does your translite look better than mine??

It doesn't create as much as you'd think. I took tips from others on here to use those. They sure are blinding when you take the translite off though!

Dunno. I bought cointaker's "ROLLER GAMES BACKBOX GI LED KIT". Maybe the back of your translite needs to be cleaned?

#18 6 years ago

I miss my Rollergames...

#19 6 years ago

If someone out there in pinball land has a Diamondplated Rollergames with all bare metal habittrails and a "inspected by Loyd Christmas" decal on the bottom of the playfield, right side of cab faded let me know.

Your translite may have become yellowed over time, my buddies Swords of Fury looks similar to yours...

I love rollergames, nice work. Looks great. I put mostly white LEDs in the back box. Tossed In a few reds up top and two random greens in there as well, brightens it up big time.

I personally am a fan of the backglass...straight early 90s.

You can clean the back of it?

#23 6 years ago

I think this is a translite, not screened backglass... Take the translite off, clean the front and back of it and do the same to the glass. DO IT CAREFULLY! Can't guarantee that'll solve your yellowing issue, but it should help.

Here is what my glass looks like with LEDs. Mostly cool white, some warm. I like the look...plus they are about 100 degrees cooler than the originals.

LEDs in the backbox for mine too. Cool whites. Reds all the way behind "Williams and Rollergames" 3 blues behind the "spotlights" and a purple one behind "the butt". Makes the butt stand out without being over the top. IMG_20131023_201501_139-548.jpg

Finally got my Rollergames video of LEDs up, they don't flicker, it's just the video. Mix of cointaker, comet, and a few ablaze.

FYI - Comet 906s had some flicker issues when I put them in the top of "the wall". Worked fine on the playfield though.

Also put some yellow flashers under the 1x, 2x, and 4x (non led) and I really like how that turned out as well. Adds some more color in between balls.
