I just got an RCT as well (for a steal!) and we have really been enjoying it. I think it's more fun than most give it credit for, and the kids enjoy it too.

I'm in the process of modding mine a little with new speakers, sub, code, NVRAM, yellow powder coated legs and a few LEDs where I think they'll help.

Good luck with your machine! For the record I've never had any issues with the metal ramps. The diverter on the left side plastic ramp had come broken from its two attach points, but I found that JBWeld clear two part epoxy made it right as rain.
