Hello all owners,

I would like to know if a new CPU/sound board 520-5300 will work correctly in an RCT.
Did some of you try it and if not working completely, what doesn't work ?
I am asking this because i would like to buy a spare board that can be used as well in a LOTR as in the RCT.

On some sites, they say that the 520-5300 can be used in a RCT, but on another site (ksarcade.net) they say :

Please Note: There are four (confirmed) games that the Atmel Chipset does not support completely: South Park, *Starship Troopers, Space Jam and Roller Coaster Tycoon. The cpu will run the game software but some of the sounds will not be correct or play at all. These four games will require the BSMT2000 sound chipset 520-5136-00 cpu which is obsolete and very rare.

*Starship Troopers: it has been reported that Starship Troopers is least affected. The 520-5300 will run the game with some sounds missing but it's not noticeable during game play.

Tks

May be if you reduce the value of R110 and R106, this will also give abetter sound, at least it will reduce the noise.

Quoted from jaytrem:Looks like the wires were removed from your EOS switch (the switch on the flipper assembly). Might have burnt up your coil if you've been holding the flipper up.

Even with the wires removed from the Eos switch, the coil will not burn.
