I own COMET. Even though it is a "simple" single-ball game, I find that it absolutely has addictive elements to it and I enjoy all the shots. I find COMET fits a variety of my moods (i.e. when I am not in the mood for the long drama of LOTR or the simplicity of an EM).
I plan to own Cyclone and Hurricane eventually as well. I like all three games and I enjoy the "developmental progression" that you can see from game to game i.e. CYCLONE was clearly born of COMET and Hurricane clearly a descendant of both the first two.
I will also chime in and agree with Crash - I feel like Hurricane is underrated as well. It seems to suffer from the sentiment that the theme was "played out" by the time the 3rd in the trilogy arrived - but it is not a bad game at all in my book. (A sidenote: Would a 4th game themed after Star Trek suffer a similar perception? To Be Determined).
One more comment - someone has already mentioned Roller Coaster Tycoon up above - but in addition to that...there is the classic 1971 Gottlieb "Roller Coaster" - I own that one as well. Love the art and adds to my collection having it here.
