    Quoted from tvbenk:

I'm going, I'm meeting up with Buddy for a pin.

I will be there with pins for tvbenk and the banker. I could bring a new pin for you too...

This is usually the best auction to buy before the ops feel the rush or pressure to buy for locations in the fall. Most locations do not do good in Summer with so much outside activities. In Sept they must buy as Fall is just around the corner and once time changes fall/winter earnings heat up and ops must have equipment.
I hope to get some good deals and sell some great new in box pins!

    Buddy

    Quoted from Magic_Mike:

It was a better drive when it was up in the beautiful mountains of Knoxville & Alcoa.
    I miss those weekends.

Winston Salem's auction used to be in Statesville and its a much better auction now in WS.
Kingsport took the great downtown World Fair Holiday Inn Knoxville auction. I like how close Kingsport is to me but those Butcher shop and long, long auctions to 3am were really great back in the day. The I-75 Expo auction just didnt have the same feeling.

I will be there and in the tradition of the last few Winston Salem auctions I will be selling another 20 year old one owner pin. Here is the rare Pistol Poker I purchased from Mike at the Knoxville auction back in 1994 so almost 20 years. It has been to about every route location I have and finished its run at the indoor cinema last week. It has eaten over 60,000 coins lifetime and other than switches and flipper parts its been great. I bought many of the extra parts back with C and P distributing purchased all the left over parts as I had some other Alvin G pins but none lasted as long as this one as the theme fits my area. I take them to sell them so bid away, you might get a great deal.

I might also take the Bankers former Baywatch. Pics under Bankers gameroom here on Pinside.

I will also sell some videos like Neo Geo maybe Xmen 4 player and that MK 2 and Ms Pac man in the Pistol Poker laundrymat pics.

    Thanks for looking!
    Buddy

    Quoted from BadBrick:

You always have the coolest pins Buddy! Looking forward to checking out that Pistol Poker at the auction - I don't know if I have ever even seen an Alvin G. game before.

You should bring your boots with that country western theme, it will make you smile and dance.

I will also have Ms Pac Man from the same location as I have been updating more classic with multicades. Baywatch and Whitewater.

All the Met Pros I had are sold, thanks Turbo20lbs for your recent pin purchase last night as that created more space on the truck for another one on the return trip home. I have a new in box ACDC Premium and Met Premium (Monsters) left to sale. These will not be in the auction but could be had in the parking lot with a small desposit. If not they will be here in the showroom.

    Quoted from ReplayRyan:

Not much to sell, just had a baby, probably won't go.
A lot of ops aren't going.

    Hi Ryan

Congratulations on the new baby! I should rack up this auction if you are not going to be there, nobody to bid against me for a Guitar Hero Arcade or a Big Buck Hunter type game.
I am taking some stuff but not sure if they will sell as I need to take a full load Friday and the parking lot equipment Sat. I know the parking lot will be sold so I can bid more aggressively.
I did purchase a new game that is doing big, big bucks. Its called Pacman ticket mania by Namco. Its just pacman with tickets but looks great with big LCD screen. It is earning well. If I can sell am ACDC premium I am getting another one. Hope you can make Sept Kingsport. Prices are higher typically in Sept as owners need equipment for fall locations and seem to pay more. I find its better to come to this one and save the dollars now.

I hope we can make a deal on that Tron with mods to the max and TOM.

I will be in my mushroom t-shirt

    Quoted from ReplayRyan:

    Both of those were buybacks
Buddy, give me a call! All yours down there man. I thought about going at the last second but I really don't have anything ready to sell. Not much there worth buying yet either, except for the really, really project WH20 on its way

    Hey
I am leaving in 10 minutes. It takes me 3.5 hours to get there.
I do not want to wake you but call me 276-219-4663

The auction was over by 2:30 and only crowded for the pins. I post a few pics of some of the pins soon.

Baywatch was only 875 I really do bring 'em to try to sell them. It seems like it only cost more to keep storing them and moving them around. Played all day, top left flipper quit but was better than most as far as being able to play at this auction. Lots and lots of part machines.

Very nice TOM cabinet with decent playfield. Non working trunk but could play as if it worked so no ball hangups. Sold 4050

Xmen Wolverine again no love at auctions and the price shows. Even had extras. Amazed you can have a 20 year old well used Bally/Wms pin and the value is so high but a one year old new Stern like Xmen gets no respect in price. A good buy. I was outside doing a parking lot deal on Pistol Poker or I would have bid on it.

I was outside again for this pin but it seems like a good deal, as I sold a Jokerz for 1100 maybe 1200 a couple of sales back in Winston Salem, the pin looked good especially for that price. I know one Pinsider is really wanting a Jokerz this might have been the perfect one and priced right.

Last pics but here some of the parts machines. If you needed parts this was the auction to be at!
    Police Force 50 dollars
    Whitewater 250
    Game show 125
    Hurricane 150

Thanks for looking! Hope to see everyone in Sept.

    Quoted from Wolfmarsh:

doughslingers, it was great to finally meet you. Some great stuff you brought to sell today.

I liked your T-shirt! I wish they would make another sequel to those great movies!

    #68 10 years ago
    Quoted from SPeD66:

Thanks for all of the updates & photos! What, no B_R at this one?
While all of you guys were having fun, I was busy doing electrical work all day in the future game room... otherwise I'd have been there. Hitting the December auction for sure though. (I hope.)

I think that Jokerz would have gone home with you!

    #70 10 years ago

I guess it was good I was outside on Xmen as I had not checked it out.

Better luck next time. I almost took Pool Sharks last time and missed out on it as the one there sold for 1400. Not saying mine would have done that but with the first one priced that way, I would have been happy with 1200.
I do think prices are going down on all pins, even trashed out TAF used to bring over 3k and TOTAN should have been in the 5's

If you can make it to Kingsport in Sept stop by my place and see the system 11 room.

    #72 10 years ago

I have a HUO ACDC premium with shaker for 6k delivered next auction.

    #81 10 years ago
    Quoted from Wolfmarsh:

Next auction in Sept? Or next one in Winston in Dec.?
Dec would give me time to sell some stuff to fund ACDC. . This is not a commitment yet, just a question...

Sorry the Sept auction is in Kingsport TN by the same auction company. Very nice facility to host the auction at the Convention Center with attached motel and new Kingsport swimming center close to it.

    #84 10 years ago

WWF was a great deal, even had a shaker motor but they all did. I would have paid a 1000 dollars for that one but missed that part of the auction.

    #87 10 years ago
    Quoted from robertmee:

Sorry, Buddy...You were tied up with me in the parking lot on the PP. I didn't mean to make you miss anything

Its ok, you saved me on the Xmen. I found a Magneto after missing out on one over a 100 dollars and I will find a Wolverine for 5k somebody will sell one or trade one.
I did get a great family picture of you all but did not post per request. I hope Pistol Poker made the ride over the mountains ok and getting in your home was ok. Ben and Jim saw the quarters come out of the pin.

Thanks again. I am going to post my Alvin G lineup soon!

    Buddy
