Very VERY delighted that Roger Sharpes archieve is being preserved and shared with us. Don't worry too much about the sound quality. It is not degrading anything to the content. And sometimes processing becomes too excessive. It is great.

In the Sam Stern one, when they discuss “pinball in the home”, I think by “cheating angles” Sam is referring to tilt bobs, slam tilt switches and anti lift mechs, as he says “home owners aren’t going to cheat themselves”

These are neat to listen to. You get some insight into the names and faces behind pinball past that made pinball what it is today. Hopefully none of rogers tapes are lost to history. i think even releasing these interviews here he still could do a book about pinball then and now. Shouldn't be hard for roger to get interviews with current people and bs about the past in pinball if he needs more to fill a book. Yes his past in pinball has been posted here and there in bits and pieces that could be reassembled. Just getting him talking about revisiting these is enjoyable. Adding pictures of the games discussed in each interview. I was jumping on pinball database just to put images to the games harry was talking about.

I'm loving these series! Besides the great historical interview in each one is the always interesting interview you do with Roger where he talks about what was going on in his life at that time and his thoughts on the interview.

Initial thoughts on the Harry Williams interview: energetic, passionate, sounding person whom I wish I could have met.

I was especially struck by the story of the young man who invented the free play unit - that one caught me off guard. I was listening along and went "say what?, what happened to him??"

I had to listen to that bit a second time just to let it soak in - really sad

Initial thoughts on the Sam Stern interview: Someone to be respected, he knew his stuff.

I liked the sounds of the office - the dialing and later the ringing of the telephone.

I also liked Rogers thoughts on going to the Williams plant. That really got my imagination going on what it would be like to experience that scale of production.

It's not just the RS interviews, all the C2C episodes are unavailable. I'm guessing Podcastgarden deletes stuff based on traffic and age.
ifpapinball knows RS pretty well, I'd say reach out to him or Nate and ask about hosting them somewhere. Google drive might be adequate for current traffic.
