    I'm looking forward to it!

I'm going to bring my Meteor with DickHamill 's new code.

I'm also bringing a bunch of vids including my collection of Bally Sente games. CAX used to do a "Sente Reunion" and I wanted to do something similar.

Even made a flyer for it:

Maybe its time to bump this thread and get a little showdown buzz going. Ready to maybe make it out more than one day this year!
It will be coming up quick after Dory Hill.

Which games are you planning on bringing?

First game up from the basement.

Thankfully it’s just 4 uprights and a cabaret coming up from the basement, the rest are already in the garage.

Thanks we had a blast playing these! [quoted image][quoted image]

    Thanks!

That Omega Race Cockpit is a special one for me, I picked it up August 2021 completely gutted and half painted blue. It still needs a few minor details finished but its such a great way to play that game.

I'm glad its going to be a bit earlier this year. And glad to have gotten the notice of when super early.

Not sure if I'll be bringing as much this year but I will for sure be bringing games.

If anyone is on the fence about bringing games, I’m going to have room in the uhaul so if anyone in the metro area has machines they want to bring and wants to use transport space shoot me a message!

    Quoted from Mathazar:

Thanks to all who brought games!!! Special shout out to Charles_Kline - your group of video games kept my son occupied for a couple of hours Saturday afternoon. It was fun for him to play the original, full-size coin-op versions vs. the MAME setup I have in our rec room. Sea Wolf was a big hit with my wife....I didn't know this, but apparently it was one of the only video games she played as a kid (and I haven't seen one myself since I was a teenager except for when you bring yours to the show). She played it many times, set the high score, and was quite pleased with herself. Later that night after she left I went back and topped her score. Of course I didn't tell her....that's how I've managed to stay married to her for 27 years, lol.
For the show, my Meteor had 474 plays and my Night Rider had more than 500. I was really surprised that both machines made it through the entire show with that many people and that many games with no serious breakdowns. Meteor got a ball stuck between the top of a plastic and the glass twice, and one time one end of the wireform on the right inlane came out of the playfield - that's it. The biggest surprise to me was that Night Rider made it through the show with NO issues.
    Highlights for me:
    - Spending time on the Bond 60th Anniversary. I know a lot of people are bashing it, but I really liked it. Solidly built modern game with a retro feel. The pricing is unrealistic ($20K???) but I really enjoyed it and more than the regular Bond issues.
    - Spending A LOT of time on Pulp Fiction. I guess I was feeling in a retro mood....PF hit all the right buttons for me, so to speak. I don't miss having a video screen at all. The sounds and call outs were great (if you could here them in the show setting). Fortunately I got to spend about an hour on it Thursday night after setting up my pins - it was it nice and quiet so I could hear everything and without a line of people waiting to get on, there was no rush to get off the machine.
    - Talked to Butch Peel from Chicago Gaming after his seminar on Saturday and he told me to come back later that night and he'd turn on Pulp Fiction's "profane" setting for me. Unfortunately, I couldn't make it back but it's great to know there IS a profane setting for this game. You can't have Jule's from Pulp Fiction not saying MF every other sentence.
    - Further got to hang out with Butch on Sunday while playing my Meteor and Night Rider pins and trading restoration and sales horror stories.
    - Playing the two-player Joust pinball with my son. We do that every year at the show and, when it was there, each time we'd go to Lyons Pinball.
    - Meeting some great pin folks in person, both new and ones that I've "talked" to through pinside but not had the opportunity in real life.
Thanks again to all who brought games. I just started a new restoration project (1979 Williams Flash) that I'll likely bring in 2024. Can't wait till next year!

Hearing stuff like that is why I bring games. Seeing people enjoy them is great.

    It was awesome meeting you!
