I was lazy and just bought brand new boards of everything that started to fail. First it was the DMD, then the PSB , and then the SSFB. I managed to avoid using any Rottendog replacements as I've heard too many horror stories about those, but now the machine is running flawlessly.
In any case, I highly recommend the X-pin PSB as a replacement. Very well made.

The PSB and SSFB both had indications of having been repaired and resoldered several times in the past 20 years (sloppy work in some spots). Ultimately I decided I'm not going to bother with them. I have kept them in boxes along with all the other parts I replaced, just in case though.
