My R&B GI is noticeably dimmer than its neighbors (Centaur and HS2). Right out of the transformer, I'm reading 6.1 VAC on the GI output winding, with no load. I'm thinking this is low.

I've replaced and re-pinned ALL of the connectors that even looked slightly cooked, and all the fuse clips too, in the long convoluted GI power chain. Used the good Sargent crimpers from Great Plains (expensive but well worth it, btw).

As a test, I've even taken 18 gauge lamp cord and shorted the transformer GI winding directly to a GI string, to bypass all the connectors and fuse clips. This makes the string VERY SLIGHTLY brighter, but still not up to the brightness of my other pins.

This is my first DE machine. Are they all this dim? Or do I need a new transformer?
