Copyright grinches suck.
If a product isn't being actively supported/reproduced, then end user should be able to replace damaged parts regardless of who owns the rights. I can appreciate IP owners not wanting others to profit from their holdings, but replacement parts for existing equipment that have already been purchased should be under fair use.
Double dipping copyright holders are scum.
Quoted from TopMoose:Sorry - I've had to stop making these. Stern now controls all of Data East's copyrights and I've been warned that their lawyers don't appreciate this type of fan art and after-market mods.
Was it actually Stern's lawyers that contacted you? I ask, because I thought they were fine with DE parts being created and supplied.
