    Hello helpers!

My robocop plays good, but music and speech are a bit off. Sometimes during gameplay music stops, but sound effects still plays. Arrest mode usually gets the music to play again.

When I start a game and the ball rests on the switch in the plunger lane, there is no music at all. Once the ball is plunged, attract mode music starts. I have never heard my robocop say "your move creep".

Multiball music plays as it should, so does the game over tunes. Thoughts?

Have this problem with my Monday Night Football. I think it’s a Data East issue. I heard somewhere that sometimes a cap on the soundboard is the issue

yes, the caps on these boards go bad, after 20 years check the board carefully make sure nothing is obviously burned out, but probably are going to need to replace the caps..

Soundboard looks ok. Tried a brand new power supply board - same issue.
Right sine is quiet during sound test, but I can clearly hear music from the right speaker during gameplay...

Just to wrap this thread up. I am now the owner of the (previously) troublesome game now. It was the 74LS374 on the sound board that had one of its inputs shorted. A socket and a new chip and all the sounds are back.
