Love my Robocop. I'm going to restore the playfield on mine, starting soon (I hope). Pinsider Tullster recommended I mod asound, and not disappointed I did. This thing really thumps now!

Quoted from cyroute:

Just wanted to let fellow ROBOCOP owners know that there is a place selling full sets of plastics. They are not as blue as the originals but if you are going to replace all of them I don't see an issues with them. I bought my set and they showed up within a week!

Got my set today. They are better than no plastic or a broken plastic, but I was underwhelmed with the quality of them to be honest. They are laser cut the but not screened. They are digitally printed and as the poster above says the blues are off. Oh well, I was missing a plastic and had 3 broken ones. Will probably not use the set except for those.

Was the bumper locked on or popping? if popping sounds like you've got a stuck switch. I second the suggestion on going to that link as it will explain the switch that's likely stuck.

If it was locked on that could be a problem on your board (bad transistor).

Welcome news members. Not many of us as this is a low production game. See above about a plastick set which for $200 I found to be underwhelming but for now it's the only game in town and beggars can't be choosers.

On that music, do you have a YouTube video of it? Would like to hear it.

Would it be underwhelming if I replaced all of the plastics? That way they would match. Thanks!

Colors are pretty washed out. Will take some pics.

Still having problems with my weak flippers. Had a guy out for 3.25 hours and even he couldn't figure it out. So frustrated!

Get this fixed yet? Mine sometimes blows a fuse and only has hold voltage available. They are so weak it's laughable. I replaced the fuse with a circuit breaker, so at least it's not 50 cents a pop.

Someone sell me a Robocop!

I got one in Des Moines I will let go. Price depends on how clean you want it, as it needs a good shopping out.

Dan

EDIT: Tried to sell it without cleaning it up for $1100 a while back and would still sell for that as-is. Thinking I will pull the Mylar, clean it really well, put on reproduction plastics and try at $1500 o.b.o if someone prefers it shopped.

Hi, Robocop owner here. As time allows I'll be documenting the process of fixing a cooked insert. Most of the gory details will be in the Restorations Documented area. Not sure if I'm allowed to link to my own thread here, but will edit this if I find out that is acceptable.

I have the exact same problem, so I’m interested as hell. If you could DM me the link to your restoration page.

You might want these to scan for some new decals.
