Hello RoboCop owners!
I recently acquired a RoboCop machine and have now joined the club. The machine came with many issues that I am trying to resolve. Need a bit of help. I had one pop bumper non-working (burnt coil and bad transistor). Did replacements, but noticed that there was missing diodes on the switches for the pops. The top diode is a 1n4004, but the bottom (input switches) only had 1 on the three pops and it was a 1n4007. Looking at other RoboCop machines it appears that there should be a diode on the top and a capacitor on the bottom. The schematics don't show them and/or their values.
Can someone view what is the correct diode (I think 1n4004 is correct for the top contacts) and cap I should have on these switches.
Appreciate your help.
Mike
PS: Do you really need the cap as it appears this machine they cut them out and bypassed it.?

Okay, I tried soldering the orange wire directly to the switch contact on all of the pop bumpers. They work now, but after a short while the top left one would just engage and start shorting out. So there is still an issue with what I should have connected here between the contact and orange wire.
Also I see there should be something similar on the kickers as there are signs of something cut off.

Can someone please let me know what is suppose to be installed. I think a capacitor, but what value. This is not covered in the manual or schematics.
Thanks Mike

Quoted from cottonm4:

I'd like to help you but it will be late tomorrow before I can open up my Robocop and get some pics for you.

Pictures and any information would be great, but you may not have to. Got frustrated, so I also own a Data East Secret Service and a Monday Night Football. They were folded up and are projects down the road. So I said what the heck I went ahead and set them up and found out the MNF is the same as the RoboCop and it has all the correct components on the coils and kickers, so should be okay.
Might just confirm with you that the parts are the same tomorrow once I review the MNF in more detail.
Mike
