Why limit production to 300?
Have a 50 LE limit but sell as much as you can.
The artist is the goods though.

I think spooky has made an error, they way underestimated the demand for this game.
Maybe they should have built capacity up in the manufacturing side with maybe another pin, then release this when they could handle maybe 10 games a week, hence a thousand machines over a 2 year period would be feasible.
Good problem to have.!!
Shame to limit it to 300, this pin seems to be a winner so far, no guarantee the next pin will be, so why not make hay when the sun shines?
Larger factory means ability for more staff and equipment
Doesnt make business sense to me.
No one would begrudge spooky for increasing the run and im sure rob zombie would get on board too.
All I am saying that obviously if the demand is there expand the business not to stern size but even doubling the capacity should allow 600 to be built in the same time frame.
The design is done the BOM is done, seems a shame to not take advantage of a winner.
They will still have demand at 600 units, the price is competitive and the artwork looks like it will destroy everything out there. ( I am presuming it wont be a dog gameplay wise)
17 k likes on facebook for the translight, even if 2% of these people want to but a machine that is virtually another 340 customers that will be unable to buy.
Bigger picture, future licenses may want more than 300 units so the capacity needs to be there.
PS I am an admirer of what these guys have done and what they are doing.
The worst things anyone can't says is that it doesn't matter how this machine is as they area only selling 300 and they are sold. The machine should be designed to be desirable enough to sell 3000 plus.
The second worst things is for a business to ignore feedback. If the clear majority says the playfield is a let down then you fix it. Rob Zombie may like it but he aint selling the machines .
Btw all the other artwork is absolutely beautiful, it's a shame it didn't continue to the playfield.
Quoted from RustyLizard:But....this playfield art has been approved. If Spooky were to go back to RZ to make changes now surely he would ask why. The answer being that certain people didn't like it. He could say F it, no deal and possibly sink the company. The fact that this playfield is approved has more value to the company than you might think. I don't believe it was easy for them to get to this point.
If I owned a restaurant and there was a dish that I adored but no one else liked because it was too salty, would I reduce the salt to keep customers happy or would I let it remain the same because its what i like?
Regarding R Zombie backing out not likely at all. JJP changed the Hobbit and something tells me that dealing with Warner Bros is bit more involved than Rob Zombie. In any case wouldn't he want the best look/desire for a product that bears his image and intellectual property.
Like I wrote above the rest of the package so far looks AA++.
If Rob Z allowed it, Spooky could sell over sized translites that wouldn't fit a pinball machine, thus with a custom light box you would be able to have the awesome translite artwork on your wall. At least those that missed out can have something and spooky makes some relatively easy revenue.
