Will the first one (or maybe the prototype) get put at Lawrence's? One of these days I will get to the area, dump a ton of quarters into AMH (and hopefully RZ), drink a pitcher of Spotted Cow, and enjoy a tasty burger.

Remember, this isn't 'just' going to be on RZ, but this is a Spooky display going forward as well. It will be on the next title and the next title, until they want to move into something else. This is a big step and a good step. Congrats to all at Spooky for this.
If you are on the fence about a 6k toy, spend a few hundred bucks on a plane ticket and make your way to Benton. Rules might be young, but the layout can be batted. Try to find out about the vision for future coding plans and you will be a very informed customer at that point.
House of 1000 Corpses looks like a ton of fun. Is there a setting to pick up where you left off, or is it starting over every time? Or can you not replay it once you do it once, so it's all or nothing?
Quoted from Shapeshifter:Shame as there is just something special about a classy metal apron.
Agreed, and the Spooky apron is the best looking one out there. But, that is where RZ is showing the credits and maybe it was something Rob wanted to have done. There's probably an apron under there, it's just being covered up.
Quoted from TrevixClemson:I think they said after the new shop was completed and moved into.
Charlie said on the latest podcast that it will be in the new shop if it's done, or the old one. KT said the old shop is a mess, but I don't think that is going to stop the show.
Quoted from LonghornEngineer:No "quotes" about it. 2011 Grad in ECE at UT.
FawzmaGames. Instead of achievements on a phone say like it records the high score of different things. Like number of zomibes killed or items collected. So you have a Score HS list and a HS list for all the items collected.
As long as the list isn't the length of the credits on T2, why not? Maybe add a setting to be able to turn off if they are displayed or not. More goals is always a good thing IMO, and being able to tailor the list to your liking (as far as what is displayed) should go hand in hand. I think TWD has a nice balance of how many scores get displayed for various mode champs and such.
Quoted from oopsallberrys:I did like that about that other company....
Another suggestion would be that you can have game settings per initial or player so that I could have some modes be set to hard and my wife can have modes set to easy based upon whose initials "logged in".
That would be pretty cool.
Quoted from WaddleJrJr:Ben mentioned wanting there to be something that accumulates on the ramp if you hit it not during a mode, but please if you do add that make it really low value. Don't want there to be any incentive what-so-ever to just loop the ramp all day. As it is already with the Chop ball save I feel like it might be too center ramp heavy (loop ramp 4 times, play for free during ball save, loop ramp 4 times, etc.)
The center ramp all but ruined Police Force. I have made a big effort to make that game playable and have a massive incentive to stay away from the ramp in the form of the giant yellow post rubbers.
Quoted from jkdblaze:Man, how do you score #1? That's awesome! I would have expected that to go to Rob or Charlie. Maybe they take #0 or just create whatever configuration they want.
The AMH test machine at the shop is built from parts that didn't pass QC (for the most part), so I'd imagine the shop/personal RZ's to be done the same way eventually. Not if Rob wants one though.
Quoted from jwilson:Well, it's easier for Stern or JJP to abandon Pinside - 90% of their customers come from elsewhere.
90% of Spooky's customers originate here.
IMO, at this point they could travel to a few shows a year and make sales that way. RZ was sold out by the time RZ himself put out the word on FB. As long as you are on FB, you are getting Spooky info in the moment. Everything that Pinside would find interesting makes its way on here.
That said, I like that Spooky is here and hope it stays that way.
Quoted from WaddleJrJr:I operate an AMH on location, but I'm a savage being and don't use a cashbox, instead just let the coins fall onto the bottom of the cabinet
Anyways, my Rob Zombie (#43) will be shipping out on the next truck! I really, really hope it comes in time for the scheduled launch party next Friday, it's pushing it close.
Quoted from Tsskinne:I thought I was the only one who operated without coin boxes! Awesome, my RZ should be built next week and also plans to go on location as well! Cool so many are getting out in the wild.
I use these, seriously. Great for lots of things, but fit the spacing for standard coin doors so both mechs feed into the container.
So where is that projection chart? I would say factor in a 25%-50% reduction in rate as Domino's gets put into the mix. The pace the Minions have been completing games has a nice cushion built in for a split line.
Quoted from ZenTron:People are able to brick their games when updating the code to the point that chips need to be swapped out to fix it?
I would submit that following instructions is important because if they are specific enough to say don't format with a Mac, it's likely there for a reason. Not directing that at you ZT because I have no idea how chips die from code (because I literally have no idea), but details matter.
When I updated my Ghostbusters to 1.05 I re-read the instructions sticker that is right next to the board several times because I was fairly nervous doing that for the first time. Is there space in a Spooky head for a similar sticker?
Quoted from SpookyCharlie:No application required for you Bryan... you've already left enough DNA all over Benton to cover any info we might have needed to sell you anything.
If you want to be added to the sales list, as always... just email: [email protected]
Everyone that has bought a game from us in the past is automatically included and will be notified when done. You'll see it before you give us a dime, and we'll keep the drama to a minimum once we launch.
Again, not gonna be for a while so don't stress... we're just working on the layout now to time it towards the end of Rob Zombie (as ya' do in pinball).
Did you tell KT about this list?
Alice Cooper is actually a pretty big pinball supporter. Alice Cooperstown in PHX is the host site of the Flippin with the Greats championships. He attended last year and was pretty accessible for pictures and conversation.
Bummer that Spooky has to make the $1k deposit non-refundable. At the same time it makes me happy to know that it adds to their viability.
Strategic draining to get 0.5% closer to 1k switch hits? I would imagine your ball save time is better spent Apollo 13'ing those bad boys for as long as possible.
Quoted from FawzmaGames:8 is considered 2 bucks.. are people paying more than that to get extra plays? I'll increase it if theres demand. Just waiting on feedback on how this setup works.
I've seen some instances where it's 6/$5, so I don't think you can plan out all of the options with ease. Would it be easier to have a standard and then a bonus setting where you can just say "X number of currency for Y number of plays" for both. Example using the $5 option. "1 play for $.75" and that's it. Or "1 play for $1" BONUS: "6 plays for $5".
I'm trying to be vague with terms because you have games in the US and games in Australia. They both use a dollar, but those dollars are not 1. Same thing with any games that made their way to Canada.
Quoted from DCFAN:Just be careful not to let Stern steal away your programmer.
They aren't wise enough to try and FAWZMA is smart enough to stay away.
All speculation on my part. :p
I think it's in the 240's, but we have an RZ coming to D&D in Tucson pretty soon now.
Quoted from herg:They, the shipping company, I suppose?
Also, what company was that?
Quoted from herg:Unless I misunderstood, that was just a list of things that will be in it. It has not been released yet.
That makes the timing much less funny.
Quoted from SpookyKT:The "kid" is taking finals LOL he will finish the last episode of Lionman tonight. Podcast should be up and running by dinner time tomorrow night.
Where did that month go? I completely forgot that a new Spooky podcast is coming! Woot Woot!
