Officially Announced. Rocky Mountain Pinball Showdown

#2 8 years ago

250 regular, 50 LE's for $500 more

#3 8 years ago

$5995 for regular. $500 more for LE.

$1000 down then nothing until you get your game.

Tonight through July 4, first choice goes to AMH customers. Open after that.

#4 8 years ago

Sounds like hand drawn art.

#5 8 years ago

7 ball multiball.

#9 8 years ago

No, just the video.

#15 8 years ago

Will basically be House of a Thousand Corpses, not Devil's Rejects.

#20 8 years ago

He said it will not be a campy type of game. Sounds more like a pure rock and horror game.

If anyone has an AMH they want to sell, Let me know. I am prepared to overpay (a bit.)

Quoted from MikeHogue:

3% of a thousand is $30
$30 x 300 = $3000

I get your point, but $30 x 300= $9000.

And technically you'd have to send $1031 for them to receive $1000. ($1000 / 0.97)

I just realized...if you're lucky enough to get the LE, the name of the game is not on the backglass OR on the sides of the cabinet. That's got to be very unusual...first time ever?

I actually like the playfield art, but what are those black streaky lines in the lower middle...smoke?...trees? I seriously can't tell.

I think it would have been easy to make the playfield art too "busy". This is a common issue with recent Stern games.

Quoted from ChadH:

Whitewater was like this. But the name was on the topper.

Seems pretty prominent on the cabinet...

Quoted from SilverBallz:

That is the best backglass ever.

It is really nice. I can't quite decide which is better. I can see the character details way better on the standard, but the yellow/orange at the bottom of the LE will look better against the cabinet art. Either way, I love the game. Can't wait to play.

Quoted from pinballcorpse:

Looks like his long hair blowing in the wind.

Now that you say it, I think you're right. That detail looks weird to me.

Macs don't come with SD card readers. Has there been any thought to switching to the more ubiquitous USB that Stern uses? I realize that there are cheap readers available, I will need to get one. I'm far more familiar with USB than SD, that's all.

#4841 7 years ago

Lol. I have a Mac Pro. Didn't really know the others had the SD slot. Figures.

Sent my check for #239. Won't be long! I CAN'T WAIT!!!

#7519 7 years ago

I waited a while for the kinks to get worked out. It's been a long wait, but I love the theme, layout, and rules. I sold my AMH a while back, it will be nice to get a Spooky game back into the collection.

#239! Seamless delivery and setup. Can't wait for the kids to go to sleep so I can fire it up in all it's glory.

Is anyone printing up instruction cards? I don't have a color printer or a laminator, and don't feel like doing an arts and crafts project.

#7708 7 years ago

My VUK frequently doesn't successfully kick the ball out until the 4th or 5th attempt. Any ideas on how to troubleshoot?

#7720 7 years ago

I'm on 19. Just making sure it's most likely a coil power adjustment, rather than something trickier.

#7774 7 years ago

I finally hit the 3 way skill shot!!! I didn't realize it just gives you an extra ball. I assumed it just LIT the extra ball target. Nice surprise.

Forgive me if this has already been discussed. Has anyone had the robot stop moving and the associated pop bumper stop working? I have fairly low plays, just turned it on and noticed it wasn't working. Common issue? Quick fix?

#9157 6 years ago

Nobody having the issue with the robot/pop bumper not working?

#9159 6 years ago
Quoted from trilogybeer:

The pop bumper ? Or the robot itself? If it is the Robot , mine did stop working . Charlie got me a new servo ,I installed it and he has been working fine since . Spooky has a video on youtube showing the replacement of this part .

It appears to be both. Thanks for the heads up. I'll look for the video.

#9162 6 years ago

I tested it, and it's actually working, but the pop bumper appears to have become very insensitive. I re-gapped the switch. Hopefully that will fix it. The robot tests as though it is working, also. I haven't seen it turning during gameplay. Perhaps I just don't know how to get it moving. Haven't been playing this game much, but thinking of getting back to it.
