My error looked a little different than yours (see picture). But this is what Charlie told me to do and it worked.

If you did that and still get the odd reboot issue, do the following.

1. With the game off, press and hold the blue button closest to the ghost in the middle of the board in the backbox
2. turn on the game, it will update code correctly (still holding the blue button)
3. restart three times when prompted, after code update*

I held the button in for a few minutes while it updated. Maybe 5 mins total?? Then two power cycles.

Oh... ok. Sorry, No, I only had to do that for the update process. Once that was done, no issues.
