Quoted from TOK:Rob at the flippers is cool and the tombstone is a great idea that fits the theme. My opinion is that it needs a little more.
This thread is the first time I saw the playfield art, and my immediate thought was "he's an incredible artist that isn't really interested in pinball". He needs some guidance. To me, its mixing the sparse style of the EM era but the drawing is too detailed to look like early 70's art. Super clean, sparse linework would actually fit in with the throwback style of Robs movies, but its obvious from the cab/translite that isn't what they were going for.
The Kiss art was polarizing, and I was one of the ones that thought they knocked that late 70's vibe out of the park. Maybe its good to be challenged!
I would tend to agree - probably just needs a little more guidance on doing specific pinball art integration.
I love the idea of a gravestone - but I would have made the center of the playfield an entire cemetery. Then each mode insert becomes an individual gravestone within the cemetery.
I do like the witch - just would of loved to see more characters interacting with the cemetery - werewolf, zombie, etc
