This is an Atari System 1 cabinet. It can have the control panel and daughter card swapped out to play 5 different games.
Road Runner, Marble Madness, Peter Packrat, Indiana Jones and RoadBlasters.

I've also restored one with the generic Atari side art... zzzzzz boring

    Here's a comparison.

I created custom artwork for Atari Indiana Jones and the Temple of Doom too.

    Thanks man!

    Quoted from FlippyD:

    Love your threads! Looking fantastic!

720 would be pretty rad too work on, so many possibilities.

    Quoted from GorillaBiscuits:

Ditto, truly inspirational stuff. If you ever do your thing to a 720 please hit me up. It's a long expensive trip across the coasts, but I'd strongly consider doing it considering the love you put into your restorations

    #20 5 years ago

    Thanks!!

I'll have about 1/2 of my games up and running soon. If your in SO CAL you're welcome anytime.

    Quoted from mamemaster:

Roadblasters was one of my favs!- that updated artwork looks fantastic. Man I wish I lived near you to see these in person - you do such incredible work.

    #21 5 years ago

Such a fun game right? I'm creating a custom sit down/cockpit version next.

    Quoted from patrickvc:

Also a favorite of mine growing up. Excellent job

    #25 5 years ago

And now for your viewing pleasure... All 5 system 1's in a row!

Yeah, its not the WORST i guess Still i know Atari can do better, they made some incredible stuff during that stretch of game production.

You talking the original marquee in that pic? It is NOS. Check it out next to what they usually look like.

    Quoted from Chosen_S:

Come on brother, I like Ataris side art. It looks so classic for its age. Yes a little boring but classic. Where can I get that marquee for roadblasters? Mine looks terrible, and the one I got from some random place on the Internet looks terrible also.

Anyway... This baby is on Ebay right now. One of the very few games i'll be selling.

Thanks! This was part of the "NEVER SELL" section of my game room. It will be missed, but a cockpit version will help to fill in the hole it leaves

    #36 5 years ago

Ugh, i only have 1 NOS marquee left.. let me think about it.

    Quoted from Chosen_S:

Yeah, I’m looking for an nos, or a really good repro

    #37 5 years ago

They're all really fun, it would be hard to rank them.

    Quoted from OTTOgd:

    Another beauty, thanks. Fun game.
Haven't played them all but the 5 system 1's in a row is awesome.

    #38 5 years ago

MM has bad ass 2 player, simultaneous action. Its really difficult to master and i'm terribly at it.

Road Runner is a blast too. The graphics and sound really takes me back to the time of watching RR cartoons after school.

Then there's Peter Packrat. Super cool game and the rarest of the 5.

    IMG_4564 (resized).JPGIMG_4564 (resized).JPGIMG_4567 (resized).JPGIMG_4567 (resized).JPG_MG_4559 (resized).JPG_MG_4559 (resized).JPG

LOL! Well yeah, there's that. Its that wonky Atari Logo joystick, its so clunky. That same joystick is on Dragon Spirit and i swear it makes the game 20X harder.

    Quoted from TheLaw:

man I played the shit out of some Roadblasters...nice work.

If by 'blast' you mean 'the hardest goddamn game ever!'
