I have recently done some repairs to my Road Show that fixed an issue with the flippers. One of the leads on the lower mini flipper coil had broken off and lost its diode. I replaced the diode, stripped the wire, and soldered everything back on. It fixed an issue where the flashers on the game would flash on slightly when I pressed the left flipper button.
The game still has an issue with the GI flickering whenever either side's flippers engage. This problem includes the backbox GI as well and is more noticeable up there. It is more pronounced when I press the left flippers but the right side does it as well.
To test the boards in my RS I switched out the power driver and fliptronics boards with my Demo Man, neither of which I've had any problem with. The flickering was unaffected by the switch. I have done some small circuit board repairs before but I don't know how to diagnose this problem any further. Any help would be appreciated.
