Joined the club this weekend. Plays well but needs some spiffing up.

Quoted from Scroat:

I was disappointed with the lights for the US outline on my roadshow, especially the two bayonet bulbs near the fish, so I replaced them with some blue 4smd blade bulbs I had from an old T2 machine. 4smd Bulbs are typically Too awfully bright but in this case, i think they worked out great. I’m glad I saved them this time vs throwing them away.
For the 2 bayonets near The fish, I made 2 double blue flex bulbs, out of 4 blue flex bulbs and they match great. pics are is before and after the upgrades. The third pic is a white double flex that I made out of a couple single flex bulbs I had for the large blast value insert. Sometimes you have to make your own bulbs to fill out your inserts. Looks awesome. I picked up a RS a couple of weeks ago and am working on ideas for lighting. Any tips are appreciated!

I recently picked up a Road Show. From the coin chutes I’m guessing the game spent time in Italy.

The picture of the bottom of the cabinet shows 4 empty bolts. Would they have been from a different transformer? Or am I missing something.

Quoted from HHaase:

Interesting, there's also some wire hold-downs along the right side as well that lead toward the back of the cabinet. So whatever it was, there was wiring to it. Not familiar with anything having been mounted there though.
-Hans

I'm guessing whatever it was was an add-on. Haven't seen any issues with the game without it.

I also noticed a lock was installed (the kind that uses a cylinder shaped key), probably to keep the machine turned off. No key for it. I'll probably leave it for now.

I bought a set of replacement plastics and can’t figure out where these go. They were missing on the machine when I got it.

Does anyone know where these plastics go?

Quoted from allsportdvd:

I just bought ramps from Jody too and ordered the ramp decals from Pinball Center, I know their reputation doesn’t seem to be great but it’s the only place I’ve seen them

I just installed my Pinball Center stickers and they look fine compared to the original.

Quoted from gweempose:

schwism, How did you get the decals? I thought Pinball Center stopped shipping to the US.

They don’t ship directly here. There’s a Pinsider who regularly does a group order so that’s an option. I ended up setting up a mailbox in Germany (it’s free) to receive the shipment. The company then sends it to the US.

Quoted from Scroat:

The dozer pivot bolt/screw on the right side of Ted's head (looking from the player's position) came loose on my machine. looks like a lot of work... ugh.
I've done a few playfield teardowns (funhouse, champion pub, and F-14), but Funhouse looks a bit more intense. i'm hoping I can get on the bolt with a long box end wrench, but I am not too optimistic.
Any advice?

I’ve done teardowns on FH, RS and F14 as well as Earthshaker. Road Show is not bad. As I recall you’ll need to remove the plastic ramps. There are Molex plugs to disconnect wiring and you have to remove the left diverter but not the top diverter. With those out of the way you will need a Phillips bit and a wrench to turn it since there’s not a lot of room.

Good luck!
