I am trying to obtain a compression spring 10-424 for the eyelids and cantering flange, (either or both would be great). If any one can help it would be much appreciated. The only place who will post to Australia is the Pinball Centre and they want nearly $100 freight.
Many thanks.

Just a tip I printed out earlier in this thread:
"When I renovated my heads I replaced all springs with new ones (having the correct part numbers) but the new springs were stiffer than the original ones and the eyes refused to work properly until I put back the old springs again. Maybe they could have worked if I changed the head coils to new (stronger?) ones too."

If you have the old springs it might be better to use them.

TOLLS hi. I think I have 1 new from funhouse. I’ll look tomorrow if I have it I’ll send you pics and let me know.

#2505 54 days ago

Paseb. Looks good. If I were you I’ll find a construction LEGO guy. The one that comes whit the yellow helmet and sit it in the bulldozer.

One is not original. It is less stiff and the resistance seems to be not enough. I am assuming that is the reason the eyebrows broke. The eyebrows came repaired. The coil had a make shift coil stop and centering flange. I assume this was to try and fix the problem.

Add an extra spotlight or two and aim them at the center? I've done the same on dark pins like TAF.

It's super easy, just connect them to a GI socket below the pf.

My buddy just added some Pinstadiums and they look amazing. They are a tight fit on the left side, due to the ball rails, but definitely do able. I'll show some pics later, when we get the rest of the lighting completed. I don't want to misrepresent the Pinstadiums or shoot me a pm

Did shakers come standard in this machine or are they an add on?

Paseb hi. The eyes link? I may have 1. I’ll look tonight and let you know

Hi Guys. Having an issue with my RS hoping someone can help.

The problem started with a snapped Dozer blade. I had a replacement blade handy, so I went to replacing it, deciding at the same time I'd take apart the actuator motor and clean it up and lube it. It desperately needed it, the grease inside looked like it was from the 1990s . Everything went together fine.

Now I've got a dozer blade that at first wouldn't go down because of a stretched spring (as best I can tell) and is also going up and down somewhat crooked. I've looked at the assembly and can't see anything binding - and when i run the test the motor functions perfectly - it just looks like for whatever reason something is creating enough resistance on the blade to make it "easier" to stretch the spring vs bring the blade down. Without a spring installed the blade seems to move up and down with a reasonable amount of tension. It doesn't "freefall" down but it also doesn't need a bunch of force. The blade also is not going all the way down to the playfield, although I can't remember if it did that originally.

Anyone run into this one? Is there something I'm missing regarding aligning the blade on the two axels on either side of Ted's head? Any other suggestions before I go really crazy and try to put a way stiffer spring on there?

#2529 50 days ago

Why would you need 12? According to the Road Show manual there are only 2 of those style posts in the game.

#2530 50 days ago

Just curious do any full restored RS come up for sale ? Use to have a beater and really enjoyed the game. Been searching for a while for a really nice one, clear coated playfield ect.... Thx

#2531 50 days ago

For the dozer blade, make sure that all of the cogs are in both gears and that they are lined up properly.

#2532 50 days ago
Quoted from hlaj78:

The motor is working perfectly, it's the connection between the yoke and the "cam" on the motor that seems to be flaky. I'll try a stiffer spring, just wondering if I'm missing something re: where the blade attaches to Ted's head? Should it fall freely or is there a bit of resistance there when the yoke isn't connected?

Here is mine. Incandescent controlled lamps, 2 smd leds in gi. Nothing else.
Looks plenty bright to me.

A few spares and for someone else his game.
Maybe I add a post in a place where it looks good and does not interfear with gameplay.

Is the J120 & J121 reversed on the schematics? My friends game came with J120 on J121 and vise versa. Pictures I've seen on the internet show them reversed as well. Can someone show me a pic of working J120 and 121? The left side of his play field won't light. It's not a fuse, we replaced some connectors, cabinet wiring good. I'm wondering if Q12 could be an issue.

Schematics
J120-1 Brown, return, G.l. to playfield
J120-2 Orange, return, G.l. to playfield
J120-3 Yellow, return, G.l. to playfield

My understanding is that J120 and J121 can be used interchangeably.

#2538 47 days ago
Quoted from THJM:

Yes, they are.
Check if the playfield light work if you change J120 to J121 and vice versa.
If it works, check the connections between J120 and J121.

#2539 47 days ago

Thanks guys, we tried swapping the connections with no change. We're going to add all new molex and repin J120 and see what happens.

Has anyone come up with a source for the ramp decals yet other than the one company in Germany?

Not to my knowledge here locally in the US. I did however purchase the ones in Europe that your referring to. They actually are pretty decent. Put them on JodyG's new repro RS ramps. I'm pretty happy how they came out!

#2543 41 days ago

Hi all
I am making spinner decals for Bally/Williams stuff that have these holographic decals - many games from the 80's and 90's. In general they are $2.50 shipped in the US for a pair and $4.00 shipped international for a pair. Shipping stays the same if you buy more.

PM me if interested.

My RS has comet leds in, but whoever did it made a few strange choices (I found some red and orange in GI so swapped them for the sunlights elsewhere).

I put the red under the Extra ball insert next to the lock insert.

The lock and bobs bunker inserts don't feel bright compared to the white and red inserts they're next to.
What colour and type of led would be better suited for those?i tried orange but it didn't look any better

I will buy yours. If you want to sell.

**SOLD** Anyone want these? Bought them when I owned RS, never installed them. They are not NOS, but repros. Thick plastic! $10 shipped in the US.
