I didn’t say they were but that’s the color I went with
I just custom painted a customers regular boring Ole Red Radio on his Roadshow. With the creative mind of a 5 year old and a box of Crayolas, I came up with this crazy looking thing. A splash of color and creativity can really enhance something cool that has been sitting there all along. These and other ridiculous mods can be found at

Well done, nice radio and lighted Bob's plastic.
Quoted from lurch:Mine will be up in a few weeks.... Probably too far for you though.
Lurch ,can you tell me more about it? Condition ,upgrades ?
Not too far about 5 hr drive
Thunderharley, i have one that i am restoring. Will probably be awhile (month or so) until its ready though. Slammed with work. Currently prepping the cabinet for new decals and paint. Tons of new parts and all leds.
Quoted from Thunderharley:Hello, looking to join the club . Anybody have a roadshow for sale or know of one? Thanks Rick

Very nice example.
does anyone here know any way to get in touch with "chinosts" in Brisbane.......I seen that he is trying to find the roadshow jaw bracket. I have the assembly that he needs and I need the funhouse assembly that he has. But he has not been on pinside since the end of july.

I live in Brisbane and could see if he’s on any local pinball sites here for you. Let me know if you want me to check for you
Does anyone have any old boards laying around, specifically the Opto Interrupter Board for the dozer (currently have the Great Lakes Modular but it stopped working) and the eddy board near the dozer?

I'm taking mine to TPF. Will be for sale there. It's in great shape.
Bought one of these machines yesterday, arriving tomorrow. Haven’t played a game on one yet. At only 32 pages forum, the learning process will be much easier than other machines.

Where did you get the cone for the slings? Nice!
Does anyone have an extra set of Ted's or Rudy's eyeballs and the white crank piece to move them right and left?
I'm in need of two simple parts for Red's eyes.
The plastic eyelid link 03-8479 and the centering flange 03-8486.
These are $3 and $2 each at Marco's Specialties, but shipping to the Netherlands will kill the deal completely.
Can someone who is ordering at Marco's help me out?
Order these parts for me and put them in a simple bubble envelope.
If you will send them to me for more aceptable fees, I'll be more than happy to PayPal you the owed money.
Maybe someone might consider it being a donation....

I hear you! Its painful even in the US. $20 is what I average from them for shipping costs. Its painful. I usually shop around multiple different places to find things. Sorry if I didn't already order yesterday id help you out. I'm sure someone will jump in.

The problematic one is available in Germany:
http://www.pinball.center/en/shop/pinball-parts-by-game/road-show/4395/eyelid-link-for-funhouse-und-road-show
The other one is very simple, I can print for you, just send me dimensions.
Or the easiest way: let's someone from US help to you

Yes, I know.
It's also available in the Netherlands, but only the eyelid link.
Not the centering flange.
Sometimes the simple things are hard to get....

Picked up a super clean RS a few weeks ago. Upon shopping it out, I noticed the red circled area is missing a post. Is this post an optional post to make the shot harder or is this post needed. If you have this post, do you mind posting a photo of it?

I had it on mine back in the day. It's normal. No post.

Thanks guys for the info. Odd though, one has it and the other doesn’t. Wonder if the two with the holes were earlier production?
Quoted from PinballCoug:I do need some sort of Cliffy there, but contacted him and one is not available
That was on my list to check as well; thanks for the info!

He said he could make one but needed a playfield as a template

In my experience, there's no need. Really doesn't wear. Just put some mylar if you feel you need it.
Is the aim of that extra hole there for and additional post to support the covering plastic above. The plastic just sort of floats out in mid air, it vibrates pretty good when hit by a random ball.

Honestly, it was likely there to stop a ball from rolling PAST the skillshot, but not making it into the bumpers, from rolling back into the skill shot, instead ending up down at the inlanes. From the position of it, it looks like it's sticking far enough out to where a ball would hit it.

Little more than what mylar would protect. It's the shot coming in from the lower side flipper getting in there causing damage
20190212_193320 (resized).jpgI am nearing the end of completely restoring the cabinet and used new decals. The blue sky on the decals is quite blue. The old color was more sky or lighter blue. I have new chrome legs for the cabinet. Should i powdercoat them or leave them chrome? If i powdercoat them do i match the blue on the new decal or go closer to the lighter blue i see in pictures online?

I'd leave them chrome. Especially since there new. Couldn't you of just powder coated the old ones or no?
I rescued this machine. The old legs were in rough shape. The cost for them to prep to powdercoat would be more than another set of legs. The previous owner was obsessed with figurines and glue. I have had to replace almost everything. But its near new condition.
I had blue legs on mine and really liked them. But I also like the chrome. It's all personal preference. I'd leave 'em, but that's just my opinion..

I actually think this blue is very close to original. Mine is all original and it is a lot darker than a lot of the RS out there because it hasn't faded as much.
Quoted from Dallas_Pin:Roadshowers; tracking down the gremlins in a Roadshow and on the left spinner switch the white wire is disconnected (located under the Roadshow sign). Does anyone have a pic of which lug the white wire belongs to on this switch? Pic of the switch [quoted image]

20190217_202737 (resized).jpgQuoted from Jjsmooth:Just joined the club. Been in storage for almost 20 years. Reimport from Germany.
Personal one for you or another bad ass restoration like your BoPs?? I recently acquired a reimport that was stored in a dry basement for years. Fun game!
I am installing the head back onto the lower cabinet and I cant recall the orientation or which holes the pivot brackets connect to. Can someone give me a picture if the bottom side of the head when its in the down position?
EDIT: Never mind Figured it out.

so in 25, mostly routed, years there is a hint of wear. this shows the cliffy is not needed.
Quoted from dudah:Laser cut some PETG protectors today, turned out perfect! Any interest?

Nice! How much (and have you considered colored material - specifically optic yellow)?
Quoted from robotron911:Nice! How much (and have you considered colored material - specifically optic yellow)?
I can do any color. Translucent, chrome, uv, etc. I prefer PETG as it's very difficult to break. Acrylic is fragile.
