"Lets wreck some roads"

I was really surprised when I was unable to find a RS club, so I created my own.
Requirement to join the club? Simple get yourself Road Show if you don't already own it.

Here's my machine.

EDIT:
Thanks to www.pinball-led.co.uk
My RS looks like this now:
2014-03-19 11.28.22.jpg2014-03-19 11.28.22.jpg2014-03-19 11.28.07.jpg2014-03-19 11.28.07.jpg2014-03-19 11.27.49.jpg2014-03-19 11.27.49.jpg2014-03-19 11.28.45.jpg2014-03-19 11.28.45.jpg

What my RS looked like before the led conversion:

IMG_20140312_163610.jpgIMG_20140312_163610.jpg

I'll never be a makeup artist but I think Red looks a little sexier with some eyeshadow.

Please share photos of your mods.
And feel free to post anything Road Show related in this thread.

Hey WebDiddy - thanks for starting this up. Unfortunately I am about to sell my Roadshow to make way for a Star Trek Pro. It is a great machine but does not get used much by the pinballers in my house. good luck - Harvey

#4 9 years ago

oh - by the way - where can one get the yellow and black striped stickers for the front of Ted's Dozer?

#5 9 years ago

The dozer decals can be found on ebay among others, I made mine by myself though.
Have fun with Star Trek Pro!

#6 9 years ago

I'm in. Love this game so much. Super underrated because of the theme and the music, but that makes it affordable and in my price range. Top 5 in game play for me. So much to do, great layout, shaker motor, widebody, not 1 but 2 animatronic heads!

Former card carrying member. Loved the game and may own again one day -- if only room was not an issue!

#9 9 years ago

Here's a great tip, if you need to fix anything in one of the heads you don't really need to remove the head completely from the playfield. Just remove the hard hat, face and back of the head and with the help from some good lighting you'll be able to fix most of the stuff from there.

#10 9 years ago

Love mine! great game and is proving to be a favorite among fellow players that come over.

#11 9 years ago

Add me to the group.

Love my RS

#12 9 years ago

So about them eyeball stickers... any chance of making some more? They look good.

Glad you like them, I might be able to do some more.
What would be a fair price? 10 US dollars plus shipping?

#14 9 years ago

How about 10 even? You can put them in a plain envelope.

#15 9 years ago

I have to check the shipping cost first. I live in Sweden.

#16 9 years ago

"Hey, Where's my paycheck?"

Sign me up! Love my Roadshow.

Also, love the eye stickers. I'd be in for those at a reasonable cost as being discussed.
Love your painted radio. I need to do mine. Looks too plain.

#17 9 years ago

I love mine. If you need a jaw motor, save yourself some money:

#18 9 years ago

Got some more eyes printed, now all I have to do is check the shipping cost to USA.

#19 9 years ago

send the whole sheet for $100 and let him sell locally to us RS nerds. I'll buy 3 sets

#20 9 years ago

LOL, I would love to see the insurance on that one! But I don't have time to send them out to everybody. Hell I bet that once I have them they sit in my machine for no less then a year before I get around to installing them.

Ours is factory in that regard.

#26 9 years ago

Anyone have a spare plastic set laying around? I am in need of one. Thanks.

#27 9 years ago

We Just got our a few weeks ago, I love this game. A blast to play, and great banter between Red and Ted...Its Friiiday!

#28 9 years ago

Queston,

Is the left ramp supposed to be lit like the right ramp is? Mine isn't lit, not sure if that is by design or if the lamp under the ramp is out.

#29 9 years ago

Made myself some custom inner side art. (not for sale or distribution as it contains copyrighted graphics)

Okay, checked the shipping for the eyes stickers, $10 US bucks for 1 pair for Red and one pair for Ted shipped in a regular envelope with stamps. Shipping time should be around a week according to my post office but in my experience it's usually a little longer.

Anyone who's interested please PM me, note these also fit Rudy in Funhouse.

Picking up a Road Show in the AM...stoked!

#34 9 years ago

MAJRob, your going to love it, we have been enjoying ours since we purchased it two weeks ago

#35 9 years ago

Hey guys what's a good price for this pin? Scratched up side cabinet art and fish art is a little faded.
Thanks in advance

#36 9 years ago

Loving this pin, so much going on!

You can find these for 2200 to 2500 depending on condition. Cabs are usually faded and fish wear or lack thereof usually tells the story with this pin.

GL with search Shadow.

lol.. I thought I recognized that countertop!

#38 9 years ago

Love this game, glad to see a club.. "you cheeseburger"...

#39 9 years ago

just be aware that one that is in great condition IE little to no fade on cabinet, no wear on play field (very common for there to be wear next to the fish)and has been well maintained can go for higher then 2500. Average is usually between 2500 to 3000. However as iceman44 said you can find them as low as 2000 to 2200. under 2000 it has probably been beat to hell.

#40 9 years ago

Prices appear to have gone up a lot for this pin in the last two years, perhaps more than others. Those prices are speculative though, not sure what they are actually selling for...

I joined the club a year ago and cannot imagine a scenario in which leave the club. I love it.

I have a page in a pixar art book that's filled with just eyes that they used. That might make a nice source of replacement eye stickers if people want to make their own.

#41 9 years ago

I agree Mocean,

I have seen them as high as 3,600, then again that is on Ebay

#42 9 years ago

I am an official member as of today, and me and my kids are loving it. Got a good deal on a fantastic players condition game. Just ordered the Cliffy's and newest ROMs. Big thank you goes out to Rob/Gwaxt in NY for hooking me up. Such a good dude and honest seller. Here are a few pics.image-783.jpgimage-783.jpgimage.jpgimage.jpgimage-818.jpgimage-818.jpg

Yeah baby, let's wreck some road, did I say I love this pin!

#44 9 years ago

Came home to find my kids had been playing all evening. Love the blue moniter in roadshow as well! Roadshow is a family favorite! Watch out falling rocks!photo-8.JPGphoto-8.JPG

MajRob welcome to the Red and Ted family. Slow; love the blue DMD, where'd you get it, may have to replace mine one day

Its a color DMD in sigma. Pricy but hopefully they will do Roadshow in full color eventually. This game as really good animations and lots of them. so I think it would be a great color DMD choice.

If they released a ColorDMD for roadshow I'd have to buy one without a doubt. I can't see putting one in just for Sigma. I guess I could change my tune if my DMD were dead...

#48 9 years ago

a color DMD would be sweet

#49 9 years ago

"You missed everything!". Not this club I didn't. RS has been in my collection for a long time and will stay there too. Love this pin!

#50 9 years ago

Gents, during the Kansas and Nashville start city modes, I get two balls that pop out. There should only be one because when one of the two drains the game starts to wrap up the end of ball bonus until the other remaining ball in play triggers something...then it keeps on playing. I know this is not normal. Has this happened to anyone before?

I am running software LX2, but have L6 in the mail. I am hoping that cleans it up?? Any other reasons why it could be doing this?

Thanks!
Rob
