Can you take another pic of your assembly looking at it from the top down, kind of like my lower pic in post #2? I think that the bracket that is on your diverter shaft may be the wrong one. Again, it almost looks to me like a hack/rig, with a bracket from a different game altogether.
All you have to do is get rid of that bracket that's on the divertor shaft and find the correct one. You won't need that rectangular piece of metal with the tiny hole in it either.
Action Pinball has that crank for $22.69. Search for part #a-14185 (substitute for a-13179). Look around and see if you can find one cheaper, but Action has it.
