Hey guys,

This has been troubling for a couple of months now.
When I start the Antarctica mode it says "Shoot 6 pinguin loops to collect Ripley's letter". But then instead of having to shoot the pinguin loop, a 2-ball multiball starts and you have to collect jackpots just like the other modes.

Here's a video I found of somebody else starting the Antarctica mode and getting the faulty instructions:
http://www.youtube.com/watch?feature=player_detailpage&v=6kM_WL01iJQ#t=831s

Now I just discovered I have the latest CPU rom (3.20) but an older display ROM 2.0 (latest is 3.0).
Does anybody know what this display ROM update would change and maybe would fix this bug?

Thanks,

Koen

I don't have an answer but have noticed this when I am playing it on location as well. I thought it was a bit odd...

Your display rom should always match the first primary digit of the cpu. For example cpu 4.2 and display 4.0 are correct where was cpu 4.2 and display 2.0 are not.

Quoted from dung:

That's correct,When purchasing Stern roms there's always two roms
one for the CPU and one for the display. If you just change the CPU rom
and not the display rom wacky things will start to occur,Just replace the
display rom with the latest one and should be good to go.

Ok I ordered display rom 3.00 although I'm still uncertain what this will change.
I'll report back.

Yeah I wish they just kept that rule (and the mode as single ball), but they didn't..

So I updated the display rom to 3.00...
The Antarctica screen still has the faulty instructions. Also I haven't seen any other changes.

I can't believe Pat Lawlor Design let that one slip.
