    Synth-composer extraordinaire, Vangelis, has passed away at age 79. His music could really take you places; even without the use of psychedelic enhancements.
    Most notable for his composition of the soundtrack to "Chariots of Fire" and "Blade Runner". Check out his music on youtube if you've never heard him. Great stuff.

    I saw the movie while on a flight to the west coast ages ago. Thought the movie was dumb and boring, but the music was great.
