When all that's left is Amazon and Wal-mart we're all gonna be f'd.

Quoted from taylor34:How do you figure? Toys'r'us was already the most expensive by a mile. Gamestop going out of business won't change video game prices because they're already the most expensive. Things only get bad for consumers when the low price leaders go out of business. I'd much rather have Walmart and Amazon around than Toys'r'us, Gamestop, Blockbuster, Sears, JC Penney, etc. The local company I don't want to get squashed is Best Buy, as they have a lot of good deals on video games.
I want healthy competition. I rarely ever shopped at Toys R Us, but it was an option. Now it's not.
Quoted from taylor34:It was an option in the sense that if you were really desperate and needed a last minute gift where everyone else was out, you could count on Toys'r'us to have one at a much higher cost than everywhere else. That's all it was really good for, when you were out of options.
This past Christmas they were the cheapest option by far for an Angel Tree request we needed to fulfill.
