Quoted from pinmike:RIP R.Lee,I just saw it on the news...Full metal jacket is a classic now.
Yes, but I think it was already a classic, before the weekend...
Quoted from moonduckie78:Yes, but I think it was already a classic, before the weekend...
Yeah i know but it feels like it was only a few years ago,They don't make movies like that anymore..
Met him once, the man was a rock!
It was an autograph signing at a gun shop, I waited in line for three hours, he never sat down, never even took a sip of water. He spoke to every person too. He was too young to go out this way.
RIP
Quoted from Insane:Loved R.Lee, Full metal Jacket, and his show on the History Channel. RIP Gunny Semper Fi!
Mail Call was his show on the History Channel. It had a good run and was very fun and entertaining. He would always demonstrate different types of weapons from ancient to modern day. I wonder how many watermelons got pulverized on his show.
Quoted from t2000:Love to see a Full Metal Jacket pinball machine.
Now there is a solid idea!!!
Quoted from CrazyLevi:Terrified me as a kid. I was glad to see him get shot!
And yet you grew up, shaved your head, and joined the Marines! Or grew up and shaved your head, at any rate.
Every depolyment at my first base, we would set up and then when it was time to relax Full Metal Jacket would go in the VCR. It was a tradition. Not one that EVERYONE loved, but a tradition none the less. It got to where I could pretty much quote the whole movie word for word. ARE YOU ALLOWED TO EAT JELLY DONUTS PRIVATE PYLE?
Im watching Full Metal Jacket now. Its on Netflix in case anyone wants to watch it. Great movie!! The Sargent cracks me up!
Quoted from pinsanity:Now he belongs to the ages....

Oh man, now I HAVE to get one of those dolls. I love how it's R rated. "Get your head out of your a**! Wake up and smell the roses, numbnuts!"
