Met him once, the man was a rock!
It was an autograph signing at a gun shop, I waited in line for three hours, he never sat down, never even took a sip of water. He spoke to every person too. He was too young to go out this way.
    RIP

Mail Call was his show on the History Channel. It had a good run and was very fun and entertaining. He would always demonstrate different types of weapons from ancient to modern day. I wonder how many watermelons got pulverized on his show.

And yet you grew up, shaved your head, and joined the Marines! Or grew up and shaved your head, at any rate.

Every depolyment at my first base, we would set up and then when it was time to relax Full Metal Jacket would go in the VCR. It was a tradition. Not one that EVERYONE loved, but a tradition none the less. It got to where I could pretty much quote the whole movie word for word. ARE YOU ALLOWED TO EAT JELLY DONUTS PRIVATE PYLE?
