When I started playing in the mid-90s, covering AC/DC was the green circle, and Rush was the double black diamond. When in a prog rock band in the early 2000s in Boston, we quickly learned that covering Tom Sawyer would win over any crowd. Hack bands always cover that "Sleeping with my clothes onnnnnnn" song. Covering Rush means you're on a different level. Freggin always made my forearm burn because of the tempo of those 16th notes on the high hats but the props we'd get after the show was always worth it. I'm a better drummer because of the man.
